Character is the material shell of language.Chinese characters are an important part of Chinese language and an important carrier of Chinese culture.Chinese character teaching is an important link in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Students’ familiarity with Chinese characters is directly related to their Chinese level.Compared with the teaching of Chinese listening and speaking,the teaching of Chinese characters is often neglected,and the related research is lagging behind.Among them,there are both the reasons for the Chinese character itself and the reasons for teaching Chinese characters to foreigners.Unlike Pinyin or Latin scripts in most countries,Chinese characters have completely different characteristics and properties.The uniqueness of Chinese characters makes it difficult for students to learn Chinese characters.For many years,the teaching of Chinese characters for foreigners has been in a subordinate position in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Few schools specially offer Chinese characters courses for students.The teaching of Chinese characters is carried out in a comprehensive course.The teaching of Chinese characters for foreigners lacks systematicness and scientificity,and the teaching effect of Chinese characters is poor.With the deepening of the research on teaching Chinese as a foreign language,more and more experts and scholars have made achievements in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,and put forward many beneficial ideas for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which is of great significance to the improvement of the teaching level of Chinese as a foreign language.Components are the units that make up Chinese characters.Learning common components helps students to learn the whole character.After learning the parts and characters,learning the family of characters can help students understand new words with the knowledge of the components and the structure of Chinese characters,and achieve the goal of enlarging the amount of literacy.In previous studies,there are many theoretical studies on component teaching and word teaching,but there is a lack of empirical research.This paper attempts to test the feasibility and validity of the "Component-WholeWord-Character Family" teaching method through the teaching experiment for the students of elementary Chinese level.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the origin,purpose and significance of the research on the teaching method of "parts-whole characters-family",and the general introduction of the research on the teaching of components,whole characters and family in the teaching of Chinese characters to foreign countries.The first chapter introduces the characteristics of Chinese characters and related theories;the second chapter elaborates the functions of parts,whole characters,family of characters,division principles and teaching methods;the third chapter elaborates the teaching design based on the teaching method of "parts-whole characters-family of characters";the fourth chapter is based on the teaching effect of the teaching mode of "parts-whole characters-family of characters".Experiments,and comparative analysis of the experimental results;Finally,the conclusion summarizes the full text.
