| Hao Yixing(1757-1825)was a famous scholar of Confucian classics during the Qianlong and Jiaqing dynasties.He wrote 19 volumes of Erya Yishu,49 volumes of Zheng’s Ritual Records,12 volumes of Chunqiu Shuo Lue,1 volume of Chunqiu Bi,Shi Shuo,Shu Shuo,Yi Shuo,and so on.Zheng’s Notes on Rites was written by Hao Yixing when he was his mother.It is a famous book of rites that he wrote on the basis of reading Zheng Xuan’s Notes on Rites repeatedly.The book was completed in the60 th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong(1795).After the death of Hao Yixing,it was edited by his wife Wang Zhaoyuan and his descendants.It was finally published and handed down in the 8th year of Guangxu(1882)and is widely known.Hao Yixing first from the periphery to "rites" breaks down the origin of the article,the content of the chapter,the author and the writing of the aspects such as to understand the reading of "rites",and then gradually into the "rites" of the text content part,has carried out including the textual criticism,text exegesis,meibutsu makes textual research,the theory research and etiquette and so on work;In addition,Hao Yixing also collated and explained Zheng Xuan’s Annotations.Through the systematic analysis and study of zheng’s book of rites,we can see that hao yixing’s annotated books of rites are good at textual research and exegesis,and his exegesis is not partial to zheng kong,nor follows zhu xi’s,and attaches great importance to the theory of time,and follows the achievements of his predecessors.Hao Yixing’s exposition of the scriptures is detailed and appropriate,and he has quite obtained the principle of the exposition of the scriptures.He annotated the whole text of the Book of Rites including Da Xue and The Doctrine of the mean,and he has many inventions,which are sufficient to enlighten the researchers of the study of rites in later generations.The study of zheng’s book is helpful to expand the field of study on the history of the book,and give an objective evaluation on its position and academic value in the history of the study of the book. |
