A Survey On The Use Of Kinship Terms In Linyi Dialect, Shandong

Linyi dialect belongs to the Huangle piece of the Jilu Mandarin Canghui film.As an important part of the dialect's vocabulary system,Linyi dialect can reflect the local history,culture,social changes,and dialect users' habits while satisfying people's daily communication.The kinship appellation system in Linyi dialect is relatively stable,but it is still changing and there are differences in usage.The article mainly uses sociolinguistic methods to investigate the use of kinship terms in Linyi dialect,understand the overall picture of the relative appellation system in Linyi dialect,and describe the geographical distribution of some relative appellations;investigate the awareness,use and language attitudes of relative appellations within different community groups,compare different social characteristics(urban and rural,gender,age,education level,etc.)and different influencing factors of relative appellations under different social characteristics,and predicts the development trend of relative appellations in Linyi dialect.Through investigation and analysis,research can enrich Linyi dialect research and provide materials for dialect research;it can also understand the social distribution of Linyi dialect kinship terms,predict the future development trend of local kinship terms,and provide cases for sociolinguistic research.The survey results show that the kinship appellation of Linyi dialect embodies the traditional cultural psychology and moral concepts of the Han nationality;in terms of its formal characteristics,there are more quiet and childlike phenomena,and it conforms to the law of phonological changes in Linyi dialect.The word formation is in an additive and complex manner.In terms of semantic features,there are the phenomenon of the same form with different meanings and different form with the same meaning,the face and back terms are unbalanced,from other terms are common,and there are special phenomena such as partial terms.The names of father,mother,and uncle in Linyi dialect are geographically different in terms of regions,which are basically the same as the terms of relatives in Huangle piece of Canghui film,and it is presumed to be closer to the eastern dialect of Huangle.Liujiang Village,Yanjia Village,and Xiahegou Villages are generally highly-known and low-used with significant differences;through community comparisons,the awareness and usage rates of relatives' terms in Xiahegou Village and Yanjia Village are higher than those in Liujiang Village.The awareness and usage rate of the terms of relatives in the community is higher than that in the urban community.There are social differences in the use of relative appellations in Linyi dialect:in terms of gender,the awareness and usage rate of relative appellations in men are higher than those in women;in terms of age,the awareness and usage rate of appellations in relatives in the elderly group are higher than those in the middle-aged group and young people.In terms of educational level,the awareness and usage rate of relative appellations in the low-educated group are higher than those in the middle-educated group and the high-educated group.The reason for the difference in the use of appellation terms for relatives in Linyi dialect Subjectively,although Linyi dialect is the most important communication language in the local area,people have the highest evaluation of the practical functions of Putonghua.They generally believe that Putonghua is more important to them and hope that future generations can learn Mandarin;On the objective side,school education,social mobility,birth policies,and changes in people's traditional concepts will also affect the use of kinship terms in Linyi dialect.The overall development of Linyi dialect's kinship terms is relatively stable and changes slowly,and will continue to be used for a long time in the future.However,with the popularity of Putonghua and people's emphasis on Mandarin,local dialects and their kinship terms will be affected to a certain extent.The research still has the following shortcomings:the scope of investigation is limited,no surveys are conducted on the borders of counties,surrounding counties and cities,and there is a lack of dialect comparison materials.In the future,the scope of research should be expanded to enhance the conviction of the article's conclusions;there is a lack of case investigations,and the research only analyzes typical communities.Regarding the usage of appellation terms for relatives under different social characteristics,no survey has been conducted on the Hui villages that form a certain speech community;the sample size of the questionnaire survey is small,and the data analysis is simple.In the future,it is necessary to expand the sample size and use data analysis software to organize the data.
