The research content of this paper is mainly to analyze the phenomenon of "collective unconscious" in contemporary art."Collective unconscious" affects individuals, collectives and the whole society.Secondly,it explores the meaning of the art works after the artist connects "consciousness" and "unconscious",and traces its origin to the primitiveness of "collective unconscious",which manipulates the artist, and the psychological exploration rises to philosophy. Finally,I take the dream content as the "prototype" for my personal creation and thinking. This paper introduces the concept of "collective unconsciousness" from the unoptimistic situation of contemporary art,and proves the importance of Jung’s psychoanalysis to art. When the artist establishes the connection between consciousness and unconsciousness and finds his own "prototype",the works at this time appear profound and meaningful.Through the analysis of the works of Wolgonf Leib,Marina Abramovich and the psychiatric artist Adolf Wolfley, and combined with the author’s own works,it shows that the process of artistic development and creation is the awakening of the "collective unconscious".And exploring their own "unconsciousness" really has the role of self-healing.Excavating the primitive images in the depths of the soul is the problem that artists should think about, because the originality is always buried in the depths of human hearts, which is not only the communication with the artist himself, but also with the universe and unknown areas.Artists should show this unique state of unconsciousness at the beginning of their creation,so as to produce more works that can touch the hearts of the people. The focus of contemporary art is to explore the heart and think about the relationship between human beings and all aspects. In the end,art must think about the ultimate problem of human beings,so it will eventually move towards philosophy.
