Analysis Of Lu Cheng's Quantitative Theory Because Of Ming Ming's Research

There are Pramā(?)aya-vāda and Hetu-vidyā in Lyu Cheng’s research.Hetu-vidyā research focused on Lyu Cheng’s interpretation of the two editions of “Hetu-vidyā nyāya dvāra ?āstra” and“Nyāya prave?atāka ?āstra”.Pramā(?)aya-vāda research focused on a brief history of the development of Tibetan Pramā(?)aya-vāda Theory.Dignāga and Dharmakīrti’s Pramā(?)aya-vāda is also the key research direction of Lyu Cheng.In this area of research,Lyu Cheng wrote "Hetuvidyā studies in Tibet Area","A Brief Explanation of Pramā(?)a-samuccaya","Lectures on the origins of Buddhism in India","The Buddhist Logic-On Dharmakīrti’s Hetu-vidyā studies" and other works.Lyu Cheng believes that Dharmakīrti is the most outstanding researcher of Indian Hetu-vidyā.Dharmakīrti gained his own doctrine for explaining Dignāga’s "Pramā(?)a-samuccaya",which is an extension of "Nyāya-mukha".In a sense,Lyu Cheng studied Tibetan Pramā(?)aya-vāda in Chinese writing,with the concept of comprehensive research on Hetu-vidyā based on Tibetan and Chinese Hetu-vidyā documents.How Hetu-vidyā demonstrates Buddhist thought is also an important content of Lyu Cheng’s research.Lyu Cheng’s research on Buddhist argumentation includes two aspects.On the one hand,he uses Buddhist argumentation cases to illustrate in Hetu-vidyā’s theoretical discourse;on the other hand,he discusses the proof of idealism and Bhavaviveka two Buddhist argumentations with Hetu-vidy rules.Different from other Hetu-vidyā works,"The Outlines of Hetuvidyā " gives examples of Hetu-vidyā theory.The 62 examples cited are all proofs in Buddhist or Buddhist-related classics.Hetu-vidyā has a revival in the context of the spread of western learning and the return of lost classics.Therefore,scholars will involuntarily refer to Western logic when studying Hetu-vidyā.This kind of research helped the ancient Hetu-vidyā study to develop further.The success of Lyu Cheng’s research lies in the reconstruction of the cultural domain based on a large number of classic documents.The subject construction of this cultural domain is exactly the research topic left to us by Lyu Cheng.
