A Study On The Metaphorical Meaning Of "na" Hand Verbs And Their Dimensional Translation From A Cognitive Perspective

Hands are a kind of original tool to recognize the world with regard to human beings.In daily life,many actions need hands to complete as a coordination.From view of macroscopic,any action the hands used is refered to as “Hand Action”.Starting from a cognitive perspective,this paper focuses a series studies on status quo of Uygur Interpretation,which refers to metaphorical meaning of “Hand Verbs”.This paper is totally composed of four chapters,the first chapter is constituted by Introduction,which comprises reason of topic selection,purpose and meaning of topic,relavant research review of domestic and abroad,theory foundation and research design.In this part,this paper defines meaning of “Hand Verb” aiming at the verb of“To Take”,and comparatively analyze the semantic element of series verb such as “To Take” between Uygur and Han Chinese language using the method of element analysis,which lays the foundation of research on metaphorical meaning of “Hand Verbs” aiming at the verb of “To Take” as well as Uygur intepretation.The second chapter analyzes the mapping relation for metaphorical meaning of“Hand Verbs”aiming at the verb of “To Take”,that is mapping situation from tactile domains to other cognitive domains,such as the map to mental domain,abstract domain,social language domain,state domain,and concrete domain.The third chapter studies Uygur intepretation situation of metaphorical meaning of “Hand Verbs” aiming at the verb of “To Take,on the methods of mapping equivalent translation and offset equivalent translation.The fourth chapter in regards to conclusions summarizes the entire content,and points out the deciciency and boundedness existing on this paper,at last proposes the prospect in further.
