With the development of primary school physical education in China,football has been popularized in primary school physical education classroom.Football,as a sport with high popularity among primary school students,has a wide range of sports groups on primary school campuses.In addition,China's sports policy and education and teaching policy attach importance to football.It will be the future trend to popularize football in primary school sports classroom.How to give full play to the advantages of football in primary school physical education has become a problem for many scholars to think about.Many educational scholars combine the physiological and psychological development characteristics of primary school students,create football games and apply them to the teaching of primary school physical education,which has achieved good teaching results.This paper focuses on the practice of football game creation in primary school physical education,and demonstrates the teaching practice value of football game creation in primary school physical education through literature method,expert interview method,experimental method and so on.It is found that football games as the teaching content of primary school physical education curriculum have great teaching advantages and teaching feasibility:football games accord with the characteristics of primary school students' physical and mental development,and primary school students have high awareness of football.The main goal of sports game teaching is to cultivate students' sports participation,sports skills,physical health and social adaptability.The principles of interest,purpose and safety should be highlighted.The creative methods can be imitated,combined and changed.According to the above principles and methods,the author created four football games: traffic light game,occupation site game,cross mine area game,hunter catch rabbit game.In the experimental stage,the author tested the influence of the four games created by the author on primary school students' sports participation,motor skills,physical health and social adaptability.The experimental results show that the use of football games to improve students' sports participation,football skills have a very good teaching effect.In terms of the effect of football game teaching on students' physical health,there are significant differences in improving students' running speed,stand alone and sensitive response ability.
