Teachers in colleges find that there are problems in the connection between the teaching methods for elementary mathematics and that for advanced mathematics. In particular, freshmen will study the fundamental courses like Calculus as soon as they enter the university. However, they are still used to the teaching method for high school, and cannot be suitable for that in colleges. Therefore, teachers in colleges carry out various reforms so that students can complete adaptation and transition. On the other hand, with the implementation of the new curriculum reform, there is a trend of teaching a part of advanced mathematics in high school. It provides an opportunity for using the teaching method for colleges into high school in part. This thesis will initially explore a new problem: using the teaching methods for advanced mathematics in the course for elementary mathematics.According to the data of the investigation of the teaching method in colleges and high school, the differences between the teaching methods can be analyzed visually. One is focusing on exercises, the other is focusing on the basic concepts. Then, this thesis puts forward seven strategies for high school teaching, and suggests reducing exercises, replacing "practice" with "thinking" and understanding the knowledge points through the exploration and innovation.Take "series and mathematical induction" as an example, teachers can only use one example "Fibonacci sequence",reorganize the whole chapter and emphasize the understanding and expansion of the basic concepts and knowledge points,to realize the connection of elementary mathematics and advanced mathematics.
