The Knowledge System Of The Mother Tongue Textbooks In American Primary And Secondary Schools ——Taking "Wonders" And "literature" For Example

Textbooks are the basis of knowledge teaching,so the knowledge system of the mother tongue textbooks is very important.By studying the characteristics of the knowledge system of mother tongue textbooks in American primary and secondary schools,taking "Wonders" and "Literature" for examples,this paper aims to provide experience and reference for the compilation of the knowledge system of Chinese Textbooks.After studying,following characteristics in content selection,organization,and presentation of knowledge system have been found.In terms of content,it includes vocabulary,vocabulary strategies,reading strategies and skills,stylistic knowledge,writing and oral communication knowledge.They are all based on the curriculum standards and reflect the relationship with it.In terms of organization,the knowledge system is subject to the structure of book series.Following the principle of spiraling,knowledge in various fields presents different characteristics.The text and auxiliary text in the single "volume" textbook cooperate with each other,and the knowledge clue is clear.The knowledge modules in each "unit" are divided independently and the correlation between them is emphasized.In terms of presentation,"dialogue" and "openness" are the ideas they pursue.According to the psychological mechanism of knowledge learning and with the help of graphic organizer,knowledge becomes easy to teach and learn.This study provides us with three main suggestions.Firstly,Accelerating the knowledge reconstruction in listening,speaking,reading and writing.Secondly,knowledge arrangement should be renewed to meet the needs of developing Chinese core literacy.Finally,knowledge presentation should follow the concept of dialogue and be diversified.
