Research On Visual Narrative And Innovative Design Of Chiang Embroidery Patterns

Chiang embroidery is a unique intangible cultural heritage created by the Chiang people in their long-term life practice.It has profound national spirit and is the accumulation of national culture.As a unique branch of Chiang embroidery,frame embroidery shows the unique life and cultural characteristics of the Chiang people.It is the reproduction of the natural environment,belief worship and folk customs of the Chiang people.Its visual elements open up different cognitive fields.This topic explores the visual narration in the Chiang frame embroidery pattern,interprets the folk stories and folk culture presented by the frame embroidery pattern,and explores the symbolic meaning and spiritual connotation of the frame embroidery pattern.Through the frame embroidery pattern as the medium,using the visual narrative method,the frame embroidery is redesigned from a new perspective to better inherit,protect and carry forward the frame embroidery culture.This topic analyzes and interprets the Chiang frame embroidery through visual narrative theory,broadens the way of frame embroidery pattern research,combs and clarifies the narrative design methodology,and systematically implements the research plan.First of all,in the process of literature study and field investigation,we will understand the relevant concepts of visual narration and Chiang frame embroidery,sort out all the collected data,and lay a theoretical foundation for the later exploration and research.Secondly,based on the visual narrative theory,this paper systematically explores the charm connotation of the frame embroidery pattern from four aspects of visual narrative language,context,characteristics and rhetoric.Finally,based on the combination of visual narrative theory and Chiang frame embroidery,the narrative strategy of Chiang frame embroidery pattern design is constructed.According to the visual narrative design logic,the narrative content setting and narrative plot setting are taken as the overall design process and method to carry out the frame embroidery innovative design,and the design works that can fully display the frame embroidery characteristics and effectively carry out cultural communication are the final research results.
