| The rapid urbanization process has imbued cities with tremendous vitality,yet it has concurrently imposed severe pressure on regional ecological environments.Smart cities,as effective strategies for improving urban ecological environments,have gradually become the prevailing development direction for cities today.Additionally,sustainable ecological environments provide the necessary resources for smart city construction.The ChangZhuTan urban agglomeration,an integral component of the urban clusters in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in China,holds significant importance in the exploration of the symbiotic and coordinated development of smart cities and regional ecological environments.This paper selects the ChangZhuTan urban agglomeration as the subject of study,based on fundamental theories like systems coupling and coordinated development.It elucidates the interrelationship of coupling actions between smart cities and regional ecological environments.Subsequently,it constructs evaluative indicator systems for both smart cities and regional ecological environments,using literature research and the Delphi method.It further calculates the comprehensive development level and coupling coordination degree of smart cities and regional ecological environments in the ChangZhuTan urban agglomeration from 2011 to 2020 via comprehensive evaluation models and coupling coordination models,conducting spatio-temporal analysis.Finally,it divides the three cities of ChangZhuTan into different developmental types using the Boston Matrix and proposes targeted suggestions for the coordinated development of the ChangZhuTan urban agglomeration.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:1)An evaluative indicator system for smart cities and regional ecological environments was established.The smart city evaluation indicator system includes four dimensions and 20 indicators:smart infrastructure,smart industry economy,smart government,and smart livelihood.The regional ecological environment evaluation indicator system includes three dimensions and 12 indicators:ecological environment pressure,ecological environment status,and ecological environment response.2)During 2011-2020,the overall development level of smart city construction and regional ecological environment in ChangZhuTan displayed an upward trend.The comprehensive indices of smart cities and regional ecological environments for the cities were ranked as follows:Changsha>Zhuzhou>Xiangtan.At the same time,the overall regional ecological environment development degree of ChangZhuTan city cluster is better than the degree of smart city development.3)During the study period,the coupling degree of smart cities and regional ecological environments in ChangZhuTan was above 0.8,indicating a high level of coupling.This demonstrates a strong interaction and influence between the two systems.The overall coupling coordination degree of ChangZhuTan ranged between 0.505 and 0.720,indicating a progression from barely coordinated in 2011 to moderately coordinated in 2020.The coupling coordination degrees of individual cities were ranked as follows:Changsha>Zhuzhou>Xiangtan.At the same time,the overall grey correlation level between Changzhutan smart city and regional eco-environment system is strong,and the grey correlation degree of each index of the two systems is at the medium correlation level or above.4)According to the development level of smart cities and regional ecological environments,and their coupled and coordinated development status,the three cities of ChangZhuTan were categorized into star areas,single-excellence areas,and potential areas.Using the GM(1,1)model to predict the coupling coordination degree of smart cities and regional ecological environments in ChangZhuTan from 2021 to 2025,it was projected that the overall coupling coordination degree would rise from 0.740 to 0.866,entering a good coordination stage in 2023.For individual city coordinated development,all three cities of ChangZhuTan were predicted to show an upward trend in coupling coordination degree over the next five years.Changsha would reach a high-quality coordination stage in 2022,Zhuzhou would attain a good coordination status in 2024,and Xiangtan would just enter the moderate coordination stage in 2025.Considering the research results,in response to the problems existing in the coordinated development of the smart city and regional ecological environment systems of ChangZhuTan,corresponding strategies and suggestions are proposed for the coordinated development of the ChangZhuTan urban agglomeration. |
