With the continuous development of national economy,urbanization,industrialization and overall urban development have strengthened the spatial development efforts and expanded the space development area.The level of territorial space development and the level of economic development complement each other,and the suitability evaluation of territorial space development can coordinate the relationship between regional ecosystem and social and economic development,and achieve sustainable development.Low carbon put forward,is the inevitable requirement of our transformation upgrading,our country from the country to local implementation of low carbon a series of policies.Shanxi Province,as a traditional coal province,is under great pressure to realize low carbon,and there are some problems in its territorial space development.The development of territorial space is an important spatial support for realizing low carbon.How to coordinate the relationship between the two is the main research content of relevant departments and scholars.This paper comprehensively evaluates the suitability of territorial space development in Shanxi Province under low carbon environment,uses relevant materials and data,establishes an evaluation index system by using analytic hierarchy process,calculates the weight of each evaluation index by using entropy method,and constructs an evaluation model.The suitability of territorial space development in Shanxi Province under low carbon was evaluated from four aspects,namely,the importance of ecological protection,the suitability of agricultural production,the suitability of urban construction and the potential of urban development,and the comprehensive evaluation was carried out from four dimensions.The correlation between each index element and carbon emission was analyzed comprehensively by using Grangier causality test.Finally,the suggestions and countermeasures were put forward.The main research contents and relevant conclusions are as follows:(1)The suitability of territorial space development in Shanxi Province is low under the background of low carbon.In terms of classification,the importance of ecological protection in Shanxi Province is moderately high,while the spatial coupling between ecological protection importance and carbon emissions is moderately low.The suitability of agricultural production in cities and counties was moderately high,and the spatial coupling with carbon emissions was moderately low.The suitability of urban construction in each county is medium low,and the spatial coupling with carbon emissions is medium.The development potential of cities and counties is low,and the spatial coupling with carbon emissions is high.The comprehensive evaluation of suitability of each city and county is low,and the spatial coupling with carbon emissions is high.(2)Each element of suitability evaluation of territorial space development and carbon emissions have an obvious effect on each other.In terms of classification,with the passage of time,the influence of both positive and negative natural factors on carbon emissions is gradually weakened,and carbon emissions are gradually getting rid of the influence of natural geographical attributes.There is a negative correlation between the important factors of ecological protection and agricultural production and carbon emissions.There is a positive correlation between urban construction suitability and urban development potential factors and carbon emission.(3)By comprehensively evaluating the suitability of territorial space development in Shanxi Province under the background of low carbon,and studying the influencing mechanism between each evaluation element and carbon emission,it is discussed that in the future,Shanxi Province should vigorously develop green energy and reduce fossil energy consumption on the premise of respecting the natural geographical basis,giving full play to the advantages of resource endowment,and pay attention to the protection of ecological environment.To increase overall carbon uptake,we need to enhance carbon sink capacity,develop green and low-carbon agriculture,strive to achieve intensive urban development,and build a green urban and rural landscape.
