Study On The Coordinated Development Of Total Factor Productivity Of Fishery Economy And Rural Ecological Environment Carrying Capacity In The Bohai Rim Region

As an important aspect of the five major rural revitalization strategies,industrial revitalization and ecological revitalization are important foundations and requirements for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization strategies.This study focuses on the four coastal provinces of Tianjin,Shandong,Hebei,and Liaoning in the Bohai Rim region,with a period of 20 years from 2002 to 2021.The relationship between the economic total factor productivity and rural ecological environment carrying capacity of the typical representative rural industry in the coastal areas,namely "fishing",is examined to explore the degree of coordinated development between the economic total factor productivity of fishing and the rural ecological environment carrying capacity,The specific aspects are as follows.The first chapter introduces the research background and significance,current research status at home and abroad,and innovative points.Chapter 2 defines the key concepts of this study,including the Bohai Rim region,fishery economic efficiency,rural ecological environment carrying capacity,etc.,and sorts out the key theories supported by the research.In the third chapter,based on the construction of the "total factor productivity evaluation index system of fishery economy",the typical nonparametric economic efficiency evaluation method Data envelopment analysis(DEA)was used to calculate the fishery economic efficiency in the Bohai Sea Rim area.Based on the construction of the "Rural Ecological Environment Carrying Capacity Evaluation Index System",Chapter 4 quantifies the rural ecological environment carrying capacity of the four provinces in the Bohai Rim region using the TOPSIS entropy method.Chapter 5 analyzes the coupling coordination relationship between the total factor productivity of fishery economy and the carrying capacity of rural ecological environment obtained from the previous two chapters using a coupling coordination degree model.Chapter 6 uses regression models to analyze the influencing factors of the total factor productivity of fishery economy and rural ecological environment carrying capacity in the four provinces around the Bohai Sea region.Research shows that,firstly,the total factor productivity of the fishery economy in the Bohai Rim region showed a fluctuating upward trend from 2002 to 2021 over the past 20 years;From a regional perspective,Tianjin,Shandong and other places rank among the top in terms of fishery economic efficiency.Secondly,during the sample period,the carrying capacity of rural ecological environment in the four Bohai Rim provinces showed a gradual upward trend.Since the deployment of beautiful rural construction at the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China has attached increasing importance to rural ecological environment protection and is committed to building a better rural ecological environment;At the same time,the government’s environmental governance capacity and level are steadily improving,resulting in a slow increase in the carrying capacity of rural ecological environment.Thirdly,during the sample period,the coupling and coordination relationship between the total factor productivity of fishery economy and the carrying capacity of rural ecological environment in the four provinces around the Bohai Sea increased from near imbalance to primary coordination,indicating that the coordination relationship between fishery economy and rural ecological environment in the Bohai Sea region continues to improve.Fourthly,based on the coupling and coordination between the total factor productivity of the fishery economy and the rural ecological environment,as the dependent variable and reasonable explanatory variables,three indicators with insignificant impact were analyzed.Based on the above empirical analysis results,this study proposes corresponding suggestions from three aspects: strengthening the government’s attention level,promoting comprehensive management of the Bohai Rim region,and improving the scientific and technological innovation level of fishery enterprises.The relevant suggestions have certain reference significance for promoting the high-quality development of modern fisheries,and have certain reference value for promoting the coordinated and sustainable development of fishery economy and rural ecology.
