Research On The Application Of Batik Pattern Combined With Chinese Character Font Design In Danzhai Guizhou

The Danzhai Miao wax dyeing,known as the "Number One Dyeing in the East," is a precious intangible cultural heritage of China.The visual form of Chinese characters is closely linked to their semantic information,and has a powerful function in conveying information.However,the Danzhai Miao have never had their own written language,so they transmit their historical and cultural emotions through wax dye patterns.Therefore,by combining the Danzhai Miao wax dye patterns with Chinese characters for innovative design,new forms of expression are given to the Danzhai Miao wax dyeing.This thesis firstly examines the theoretical link between the Danzhai Miao wax printing patterns and Chinese character fonts,analyzing the regularity and functionality of wax printing patterns,Chinese character font features,and graphical design methods to lay a solid foundation for the subsequent practical section.Secondly,integrating the principles of formal aesthetics and semiotics,a deep study is conducted on the correlation between Danzhai Miao wax printing patterns and Chinese character fonts from the aspects of morphological structure,cultural connotation,and symbol semantics.After that,the current status of Danzhai Miao wax printing font design is focused on,explaining the integration and significance of Danzhai Miao wax printing patterns into Chinese character font design methods.Finally,following the principles of font design and a scientific design process,Danzhai Miao wax printing combining with Chinese character font design is presented and analyzed based on the design application practice project,aiming to protect and inherit the Danzhai Miao wax printing culture.
