Research On The Innovative Application Of Chinoiserie Patterns In Contemporary Textiles

Chinoiserie patterns are an important part of Chinoiserie art,which was regarded as a Western art style from the 17 th to the 18 th century,but today,more and more different cultures are participating in the development of Chinoiserie art in the context of globalization.The Chinoiserie pattern has gradually become a style of decoration common to all mankind.Compared with the traditional Chinoiserie motifs of the 17 th and 18 th centuries,contemporary Chinoiserie motifs have changed in many ways.However,there is a lack of literature on Chinoiserie patterns in academic circles,and there is no research on Chinoiserie patterns in contemporary textiles.Therefore,this paper focuses on these two points in order to make up for the lack of relevant research,and also hopes to provide a theoretical basis for the continued development of Chinoiserie patterns in the future by summarizing the relevant innovative ways.This paper can be summarized into four parts in general.The first part composes the formation,development,classification and influence of Chinoiserie patterns by reading relevant literature,and summarizes the basic visual language characteristics of Chinoiserie patterns by analyzing and comparing the image materials of Chinoiserie patterns in different periods.The second part selects the relevant cases,explains the feasibility of Chinoiserie patterns applied in contemporary textiles,and summarizes its application status.The third part collects some contemporary Chinese style and Chinoiserie textile design cases on the basis of the previous research,and proposes the directions of Chinoiserie patterns that can be innovated.The last part is about a specific innovative design practice of this topic.The following four conclusions are drawn:(1)the application of Chinoiserie patterns has both aesthetic and cultural values;(2)the development of contemporary Chinoiserie patterns needs to pay attention to aesthetics,humanity and sustainability;(3)the innovative design of Chinoiserie patterns in contemporary textiles has the advantages of incorporating new themes,integrating new artistic styles,using new(3)The innovative design of Chinoiserie patterns in contemporary textiles has five ways: incorporating new themes,integrating new artistic styles,using new materials,using new technologies and techniques,and applying them on new products;(4)The innovative design of Chinoiserie patterns should reflect both innovation and the basic characteristics of its tradition.
