In recent years,with the increasing application of intelligent construction technology in the construction industry,its role in improving the safety performance of construction projects has gradually received attention.This paper focuses on the impact of intelligent construction technology on the safety performance of construction projects,and conducts systematic research from both theoretical and empirical aspects,revealing the relevant mechanisms and processes of the impact of intelligent construction technology on the safety performance of construction projects,and further explores the mediating role of psychological capital.The research results show that introducing intelligent construction technology in the construction process can not only improve the safety performance of construction projects,but also have a positive impact on cultivating employees’ psychological capital.In terms of theoretical basis,this paper mainly involves relevant theories such as job demands-resources theory,rational behavior theory,psychological capital theory and social cognitive theory.The job demands-resources theory points out that effective management of job demands and resources can improve employee work performance.Rational behavior theory believes that people make decisions based on their own interests and realistic conditions.Psychological capital theory points out that an individual’s psychological resources include selfconfidence,self-efficacy,optimistic emotions and interpersonal networks.Employee work performance can be promoted by cultivating and improving psychological capital.Social cognitive theory believes that when people perceive,cognize and understand themselves,others and the environment,they are influenced and constrained by social factors.Then,through a review of relevant literature on research variables such as intelligent construction,safety performance and psychological capital,combined with research theories to construct the required hypothesis model.In terms of empirical research,in order to collect the required data,this study used a questionnaire survey method to select some construction enterprises in East China as the target enterprises for this survey to better grasp the information needed for research.The data collected from the questionnaire was analyzed using structural equation modeling software.The results show that there is a significant positive relationship between intelligent construction technology and the safety performance of construction projects,that is,the application of intelligent construction technology can improve the safety performance of construction projects.At the same time,psychological capital plays a partial mediating role in it,that is to say,psychological capital can promote employees to better perform their work performance under intelligent construction technology.Therefore,this paper believes that introducing intelligent construction technology in the construction process can not only improve the safety performance of construction projects but also have a positive impact on cultivating employees’ psychological capital.In addition,there are some shortcomings in this paper.First of all,the sample size is small and the research area has certain particularities.Therefore,further verification and expansion are needed for research results.Secondly,this study did not explore deeper influencing factors and mechanisms of intelligent construction technology.In the future more detailed and in-depth research can provide more specific and effective suggestions for application and promotion in this field.Thirdly this paper did not take into account differences in application of intelligent building technology in different regions different scales and different types of building projects which may affect research results.In future more extensive surveys and analysis can be used to explore these factors’ impact on application of intelligent building technology.In summary this paper focuses on application of intelligent building technology in building construction enterprises from theoretical and empirical research aspects systematically discusses relevant mechanisms and processes by which intelligent building technology affects safety performance of building projects further explores mediating role played by psychological capital provides important guidance for safety management in building industry application of intelligent building technology provides useful supplement extension for research in this field.
