Research On Contemporary China’s Ecological Modernization

The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that the modernization of Chinese style is the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.This requires that we must stand on the height of harmonious coexistence between man and nature planning development,in order to promote the smooth realization of the goal of becoming a modern socialist country.At present,the problem of ecological environment is still relatively serious,economic development and environmental protection can not really realize coordinated progress,hindering the sustainable development of modernization.Therefore,how to deal with the relationship between modernization and ecology,economic development and ecological protection has become an urgent and thorny problem.Faced with the ecological environment problems existing in the process of our modernization,we can neither abandon economic development and ecological protection only for economic development.In fact,environmental protection work will not affect economic development,but to some extent can become the driving force of economic development,development and protection can achieve a win-win situation.Therefore,according to the requirements and needs of our actual development,we must consider development and protection in a comprehensive way,regard ecological construction as a development act,promote the ecological transformation of modernization,and promote the construction of ecological modernization.This paper adheres to the Marxist theory as the guidance,combined with China’s specific development reality,contemporary China’s ecological modernization issues to study.In this process,the paper expounds the theoretical resources and great significance of ecological modernization in contemporary China,analyzes the opportunities and challenges faced by ecological modernization in contemporary China,points out the existing problems and reasons of ecological modernization in contemporary China,explores and summarizes the basic requirements and fundamental path of ecological modernization construction in contemporary China,in order to achieve a win-win situation of economic development and ecological protection in China.Promote the building of a great modern socialist country and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper mainly includes four parts:The first part focuses on the relevant theories of ecological modernization in contemporary China.First of all,the basic definitions of "modernization" and "ecological modernization" are expounded,and the ecological modernization of China is further defined to form the understanding and grasp of the basic concepts.Secondly,it concludes that the ecological thought of Marxism,the ecological thought of the leaders of the Communist Party of China,the ecological thought of traditional Chinese culture and the western ecological modernization theory are the abundant theoretical resources of the ecological modernization of contemporary China.Finally,the paper discusses the significance of ecological modernization in contemporary China,that is,it is beneficial to realize ecological civilization,promote the harmonious coexistence between man and nature,help realize the win-win situation of economic development and environmental improvement,and help realize the goal of becoming a modern socialist country.The second part dialectically analyzes the opportunities and challenges faced by contemporary China’s ecological modernization.However,the road to ecological modernization is not smooth sailing.It is also faced with severe challenges,namely,the new requirements of the change of the major social contradictions in the new era,the dual pressure of domestic modernization and ecological protection,and the ecological challenges brought by the increasing globalization of environmental issues.The third part objectively reveals the existing problems and reasons of ecological modernization in contemporary China.The main problems of ecological modernization in contemporary China are: difficulty in green transformation of development mode,insufficient level of green technology innovation,weak public awareness of modern ecology,and lack of ecological participation and cooperation among various social subjects.These problems are mainly caused by the concept of development,ecological culture,system construction three aspects,the specific performance is: long-term restriction by the traditional concept of development,ecological culture publicity and education is not in place,ecological modernization system construction is not perfect.The fourth part deeply probes into the basic requirements and fundamental path of contemporary China’s ecological modernization construction.In pursuing ecological modernization in contemporary China,we must always adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China as the fundamental norm,the value orientation of "people-centered",the fundamental direction of development of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and the basic concept of "harmonious coexistence between man and nature".The fundamental path of ecological modernization construction in contemporary China lies in: adhering to the concept of green development,vigorously developing ecological productivity and innovating green technology;Give play to the leading role of the government,focus on strengthening the system construction and innovation of environmental policies;Improve modern ecological consciousness,strengthen ecological education and develop ecological culture;Adhere to a global ecological vision and strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in ecological modernization.Development is inevitable,but it must be sustainable.Modernization is inevitable,but it must be ecological modernization.Only in this way can modernization development and ecological environmental protection go hand in hand.Therefore,contemporary China must adhere to the road of ecological modernization,promote the modernization of ecological transformation,in order to achieve a sustainable development of modern society,promote the realization of the goal of socialist modern power.
