Development Path Of Low-Carbon Agriculture In Sichuan Province Under The Background Of Carbon Peaking And Carbon Neutrality

Since the beginning of this century,in order to continuously improve the level of agricultural production and accelerate the process of agricultural modernization,the use of fossil energy in the agricultural field is increasing day by day,which continues to cause greenhouse gas emissions,so that the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere continues to increase,bringing many problems and challenges to the environment.The concept of "low-carbon economy",first proposed by the UK,provides solutions for the world to solve the problems of environmental sustainable development and climate change.Since then,China has actively implemented the sustainable development strategy,practiced the concept of green and low-carbon,and carried out practices at all levels of society,but mainly concentrated on the industrial field,with less low-carbon practices in the agricultural field.With the increasing popularity of ecological civilization,low-carbon development has been intensified since China officially pledged to achieve carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.Low-carbon agricultural development is an inevitable trend.Low-carbon agriculture,as an agricultural development mode that changes the original agricultural production with high pollution,high energy consumption and low efficiency,is more in line with the current requirements of agricultural development and conducive to promoting the green and sustainable development of agriculture.As a major agricultural province,Sichuan has effectively improved the utilization level of agricultural clean energy in recent years,achieved remarkable results in the control of agricultural resource inputs,steadily improved the efficiency of agricultural carbon sinks,many achievements highlight its potential to develop low-carbon agriculture.Developing and promoting low-carbon agriculture under the background of carbon peak and carbon neutrality is conducive to building resource-saving,environment-friendly and climate-smart agriculture based on atmospheric governance in Sichuan,promoting the transformation of Sichuan from a "big agricultural province" to a "strong agricultural province",and laying a solid foundation for the construction of Sichuan characteristic agricultural modernization road and the road of ecological civilization.Under the background of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality,this paper sorted out domestic and foreign research on low-carbon agriculture and analyzed the development status of low-carbon agriculture in Sichuan Province.It found that the province’s agricultural lowcarbon emission reduction technology needs to be improved,farmers have low awareness of low-carbon development,agricultural carbon trading mechanism is not perfect and other prominent problems,which hinder the transformation of agriculture to low-carbon.At the same time,using the agricultural data from 2001 to 2020 available in the statistical yearbook,the data calculation and visualization analysis were carried out to elaborate the three stage characteristics and structural characteristics of agricultural carbon emissions in Sichuan province,and to summarize the key areas of high agricultural carbon emissions in Sichuan province,which are mainly concentrated in livestock and poultry farming,rice fields,fertilizer and agricultural film input three kinds of agricultural carbon emissions.Based on this,from the perspective of "practical problems" and "high carbon emission",this paper combines relevant theories and the reality of Sichuan province to explore the development path and implementation focus of low-carbon agriculture.Based on practical problems,from the two dimensions of improving low-carbon agricultural technology with high quality and constructing low-carbon agricultural market with high level,this paper puts forward the lowcarbon agricultural development path of increasing low-carbon agricultural technology research and development,perfecting the low-carbon agricultural technology promotion system,building a brand low-carbon product system and making full use of carbon trading platform;Based on the field of high carbon emission,this paper puts forward the implementation path of low-carbon agriculture development,which is to strengthen pollution prevention and control of livestock and poultry breeding,improve the capacity of emission reduction and sink increase of paddy ecosystem,and continuously promote the reduction and efficiency of chemical fertilizer and agricultural film,in order to provide reference for the development of low-carbon agriculture in Sichuan Province and help achieve the double carbon goal.
