In recent years, the global climate warming and the ecological environment question is day by day stern has caused the various countries widespread attention. How to achieve low-carbon sustainable development has become an important demand.Human activities have many impacts on carbon emissions. In general,a large amount of carbon emissions from industry is the main reason for the increase.Agriculture is no exception. With the rapid development of agriculture, the issue of agricultural carbon emissions has been gradually attached importance to.China’s agricultural carbon emissions, accounting for a larger proportion of China’s total carbon emissions, has become a major source of carbon emissions. At present, with the implementation of the strategy of "Digital China" and "Digital Village",digital elements begin to penetrate into all sectors of agriculture. The Yangtze River Economic Belt, relying on the Yangtze River waterway,is one of the major national strategic development regions across the East,Central and West of China. Its population and economic aggregate exceed 40% of the whole country. As an important major agricultural product production area such as grain, oil, livestock and aquatic products, the Yangtze River Economic Belt plays an extremely important role in China’s agricultural development pattern. Therefore, under the background of the "dual carbon" goal, the in-depth study of the impact and mechanism of digital economy on agricultural carbon emissions from the perspective of rural digital economy. It can provide reference for achieving energy conservation and emission reduction in the agricultural field of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, promoting the sustainable development of agriculture with low carbon. It also promotes digital economy to become an important means to promote the green,cyclic,low-carbon and high-quality development of agriculture in all provinces and cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Based on the data of 11 provinces(municipalities)in the Yangtze River Economic Zone from 2011 to 2020,this paper investigates the impact of digital economy on agricultural carbon emissions based on the dynamic panel model. In the course of the research, firstly,by summarizing and sorting out the relevant literature of domestic and foreign scholars on the digital economy and agricultural carbon emissions. This paper draws out the research theme of the digital economy and agricultural carbon emissions in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and reasonably defines the relevant concepts and theories,to construct the impact mechanism of the digital economy on agricultural carbon emissions and put forward research assumptions.Secondly, measure the carbon emissions of various agricultural carbon sources, based on which, analyze the trend of the total agricultural carbon emissions in the Yangtze River Economic Belt in the past 10 years. At the same time, use the entropy value method to calculate the digital economic development index in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Thirdly, based on the mechanism analysis and research assumptions, analyze the impact of digital economy on agricultural carbon emissions by using spatial dubin model, intermediary effect, threshold model and other measurement and analysis tools, and conduct in-depth heterogeneity analysis, robustness and endogenous test to verify the credibility of the empirical results. Finally, make corresponding policy recommendations through the conclusions drawn from the empirical research.Through empirical research, this paper draws the following conclusions: First, overall, the development of digital economy in the Yangtze River Economic Zone can significantly reduce agricultural carbon emissions, and the spatial spillover effect is significantly negative.Second, the spatial spillover effect of total agricultural carbon emissions in the Yangtze River Economic Zone is significantly positive, and there is a lasting effect in time.Third, technological innovation plays an intermediary role in reducing agricultural carbon emissions in the digital economy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Fourthly, through the further analysis of threshold effect,it shows that at different stages of urbanization, the impact of digital economy on total agricultural carbon emissions shows a "U" shape.Based on the empirical results and research conclusions, this paper puts forward some suggestions on reducing agricultural carbon emissions in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.First, accelerate the optimization and upgrading of rural digital economic infrastructure, and further expand the scope of digital infrastructure services in the agricultural sector.Second,we should strengthen the connection and cooperation of digital economy among different regions, and give full play to the spatial linkage of neighboring provinces and key regions.Third, accelerate the deep integration of digital technology and agricultural production, overall planning and establish a coordinated and orderly agricultural information sharing system.Fourthly,we should strictly adhere to the red line of cultivated land in the Yangtze River Economic Zone, stimulate digital empowerment to improve the quality and efficiency of agriculture, and promote the development and construction of digital villages.
