In recent years,"carbon peak"and"carbon neutral"have become the buzzwords of society and one of China’s priorities in the coming decades.City has become the main position of carbon emissions in our country, the city’s economic development model gap is bigger, different final demand on the mechanism of action of carbon spillover and feedback effects there are big differences, also to research from the perspective of ultimate pursue regional trade’s impact on urban carbon emissions for different regions formulating reasonable measures to reduce emissions is of great significance. Therefore, based on the multi-region input-output table of China from2012 to 2017,this paper constructed a three-region input-output model, and combined with spillover feedback effect analysis method, studied the impact of inter-regional trade on CO2emissions of four municipalities in China from the regional and industrial levels. From the perspective of research, this paper not only starts from the perspective of overall final demand, but also distinguishes three final demands, namely consumption, investment and export,to investigate the impact of their scale on CO2 emissions of the four municipalities. At the regional level, the results show that, except For Beijing, the intra-regional multiplier effect is greater than the inter-regional spillover effect, and the inter-regional spillover effect is greater than the inter-regional feedback effect. The four municipalities produce a large amount of CO2 emissions not only within the urban boundaries, but also outside the city:more than 40%of the CO2 emissions caused by final demand in Tianjin occur in other provinces, about 60%in Shanghai and Chongqing, and more than 80%in Beijing. In the four municipalities directly under the Central government, the contribution of three types of final demand to CO2 emissions has a large gap.Consumption and exports are the biggest contributors to CO2 emissions in Beijing and Shanghai, and investment in Tianjin and Chongqing.Meanwhile, investment contributes the most to the spillover and feedback effect of carbon emissions at the city level. At the industry level, the research results show that the construction and machinery manufacturing industries contribute more to the carbon emissions embodied by investment, while the transportation, postal and storage industries play an important role in the carbon emissions caused by consumption and export. The carbon intensity of the production and supply of electricity and heat is the largest, and the impact on the carbon emissions of the four municipalities is mainly reflected in the carbon emissions implied by consumption. Most of the carbon emissions caused by the industries with high energy consumption occur within the urban boundaries. In order to achieve low-carbon urban development, cities should not only improve energy efficiency at the industrial level through technological breakthroughs and clean energy substitution, but also control the increase of total CO2 emissions by optimizing the structure of final demand and stimulating consumer demand. In the future,we will strive to promote cooperation among cities in emission reduction, coordinate the allocation of production factors in the region, and speed up the process of China’s overall carbon peak. |
