In recent years,the innovation and inheritance of culture have become increasingly important,which also forces the local specialty food packaging to catch up with the trend.The traditional Mongolian patterns play an important role of Mongolian culture.Therefore,the systematic research and design practices on Mongolian specialty food packaging can not only show the charm of Mongolian culture,but also promote local economic development and friendly communication with other ethnic groups.The combination of traditional patterns and current packaging design is an innovative way to merge traditional culture with modern design.In modern packaging design,traditional pattern can be used as an important design element to express the cultural connotation and characteristics of products.By combining traditional culture with modern design,extracting elements from traditional patterns and applying them in the design,the designs show the cultural connotation,which promoting the spread of cultural soft power to all over the world,and creating more packaging designs featured with more sense of The Times and cultural value.In this article,the study of Mongolian specialty food packaging is based on Mongolian traditional patterns.According to the research and analysis of the minority food packaging on the market,combined with the elements of Mongolian traditional patterns,life supplies,etc,design elements with ethnic style were extracted,and the regional cultural connotation was integrated into the food packaging design.In addition,some shapes with ethnic characteristics were also used in the packaging design,such as“Mongolian yurt”,“Horse-headed fiddle”,“Mongolian felt hat”,“Mongolian Canteen”and so on.These shapes are not only related to Mongolian culture,but also enhance the visual effect of packaging.Mongolian traditional patterns are the precious wealth of our national culture,and reflect the living customs,religious beliefs,aesthetic standard.The packaging design of Mongolian specialty combined with traditional Mongolian patterns can not only show the cultural charm,but also enrich the visual language and artistic expression of Mongolian specialty packaging.Therefore,it is significant and valuable to study the combination of Mongolian traditional patterns and current packaging design.
