| During the Song and Yuan dynasties,a large number of summer images emerged,with new changes in form,quantity and content compared to those of the Tang dynasty,which had a profound influence on the summer images of the Ming and Qing dynasties and a special position in the summer images.In this paper,we will discuss three aspects of summertime images from the perspective of art history in the Song and Yuan dynasties,using a combination of image analysis and documentary evidence: first,we will classify the summertime images collected so far from a "schematic" perspective,mainly the behavioral activities of people during summertime,so that the information presented in the visual materials is clearer and more explicit.Firstly,the images collected so far are categorized from a "pictorial" perspective,mainly the behavioral activities of people during summer,so that the information presented in the visual materials is clearer.Secondly,from the perspective of the elements of the images,the elements of pillows,couch,qin,fan,and costume in the Song and Yuan dynasties’ summertime images are discussed from the perspective of "viewing objects",in an attempt to explore the logic of the creation of the Song and Yuan dynasties’ summertime images.Finally,through the analysis of documentary materials,we will form a complete understanding of summertime images,and then explore the ideological concepts embodied in summertime images of the Song and Yuan dynasties,in order to understand the customs and ways of summertime in the Song and Yuan dynasties and to explore the cultural connotations hidden in them. |
