However, with the change of domestic economic development from rough to intensive and urbanization gradually slowing down, the once rough mining method has been gradually abandoned, yet the serious ecological damage caused after opening still exists. How to carry out ecological restoration and land reuse of mine waste land has become a new environmental hot issue.Nowadays, the common management mode of mine abandoned land is based on single ecological re-greening,lacking of landscape construction, while the restoration of mine abandoned land is generally classified as brownfield restoration, and the restoration management mode is relatively single. The transformation and reuse of mine abandoned land should also consider the use value of other resources in the mine. This paper treats limestone mines as a separate research object, which is more relevant to the treatment of such quarry mines. At the same time, domestic and foreign cases are analyzed to condense the restoration methods and design approaches worth learning from successful cases. We systematically sort out the theory of restoration ecology and conclude that ecological restoration aims at restoring the damaged ecosystem to its original level and basically restoring the ecological system;ecological improvement aims at improving the existing ecosystem and optimizing the site on the basis of restoration;ecological reconstruction aims at landscape planning and design on the basis of the first two to achieve the dual effect of ecology and beautification;by analyzing and summarizing the process and technical means of these three restoration routes,we can provide a more detailed analysis of the restoration process and design methods.By analyzing and summarizing the process and technical means of these three restoration routes, constructing the corresponding landscape system and applying them to actual cases, taking the Land Fork Tuff Mine in Jingyang County,Xianyang City as an example, combining theory with practice, carrying out specific ecological restoration and landscape planning, and analyzing for the program to improve the regional ecological environment and meet the landscape beautification function, and finally drawing the following conclusions.(1)Through the systematic study of restoration ecology theory, the three main restoration routes of ecological restoration, ecological improvement and ecological reconstruction have been clearly sorted out.By applying them to the restoration of a specific chert mine, the current situation of the site is analyzed, the site is classified according to the degree of damage, and ecological restoration is carried out according to the above three restoration routes.(2)The planning and design of chert mines should not be limited to single land reclamation and simple vegetation restoration, but should focus on ecological restoration and landscape planning at the same time.Different zoning areas should be designed in detail, and the ecological restoration of the mine should be done while planning different landscape features such as natural landscape and humanistic landscape according to the restoration degree and restoration time,so that ecological restoration can be integrated into the planning and design to achieve two parallel lines.(3)The master plan of the chert mine should pay attention to the development of multiple fields and disciplines. It is difficult to realize the later maintenance through simple landscape planning, and through the specific investigation and analysis of the site, make full use of the existing resources, combine with local history and culture, design the characteristic landscape, and combine with tourism, economics and sociology to create a comprehensive green space to meet people’s needs.
