| Located on the hillside of Miaoling near the southeast of Simeng Village and New Village.Cenxi City,Miaoling Kiln mainly makes qingbai porcelain,as well as porcelainware of other glaze colors.In order to further study the beginning of the production time,production process,technology source and other issues.The kiln site samples were obtained by fieldwork.Typology comparison method,water absorption measurement method,high temperature thermal dilatometer,X-ray fluorescence analysis(XRF)technology were used to determine the production technology process of Miaoling Kiln products,glaze characteristics,chemical composition of porcelain,temperature required for firing,water absorption and other information,and Origin software was used for statistical analysis of the data.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The volume density of Miaaling Kiln porcelain ranges from 2.14g·cm-3 to 2.58g·cm-3;The apparent porosity was 2%~11%;Water absorption rate is 0.58%~5.08%.The sintering temperature is in the range of 1072℃~1317℃.2.The content of main components in the glazes of Miaoling Kiln fluctuates,and the difference of Si O2 content and Al2O3 content in the kiln specimens is 12.92%and 11.5%.There is a large gap between the Ti O2 content in the embryo and glaze of Miaoling Kiln and that of other surrounding qingbai porcelain kilns,with the Ti O2 content in the embryo ranging from 1.5%to 2.5%,and the individual content reaching 2.8%.The Ti O2 content in the glaze is about 1%,and the individual reaches 2%.Ti element can be considered as the characteristic element of Miaoling Kiln.Based on the experimental data and typology analysis,the product characteristics of Miaoling Kiln are similar to those of Guiping Kiln.According to the population flow and element composition,it is inferred that Miaoling Kiln technology may come from Guangdong region.In addition,it is concluded thatMiaoling Kiln started in the late Northern Song Dynasty and declined in the middle and early Southern Song Dynasty. |
