| In September 2020,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the ambitious goal of "double carbon",that is,China will aim to reach "peak carbon" by 2030 and "carbon neutral" by 2060.To achieve the double carbon goal,enterprises need to improve their energy saving and emission reduction capability,and green technology innovation is an important driver to improve energy saving and emission reduction capability.In view of this,the article selects 7530 sample data of 1438 listed enterprises in A-share from 2014-2020 to empirically investigate whether carbon emission trading price affects corporate green technology innovation.The conclusions show that:carbon emission trading price has a positive incentive effect on listed enterprises’ green technology innovation,and the impact of carbon emission trading price on state-owned enterprises’ green technology innovation activities is more significant compared with private enterprises;further industry heterogeneity discussion finds that:the incentive effect of carbon emission trading price on green technology innovation in non-high-tech industries is stronger than that in high-tech industries;compared with clean The incentive effect of carbon trading price on green technology innovation in polluting industries is stronger than that in clean industries.The mechanism test after the introduction of corporate financing constraints finds that the carbon trading price affects the degree of corporate financing constraints and thus the level of green technology innovation.Therefore,the above findings have some reference significance to play a role in carbon emissions trading and green technology innovation,and promote enterprises to achieve green transformation and upgrading. |
