Study On The Application Of Peach Pattern In The Coat For The Aged In Qing Dynasty

Since ancient times,the Chinese nation has a strong historical tradition of honoring longevity and respecting the elderly,which expresses people’s prayer and expectation for longevity.Nowadays,the problem of aging population is severe,and the needs of the elderly for clothing design have not been really explored and paid attention to.Based on this background,the author tries to combine the longevity peach pattern with the auspicious meaning with the old age clothing,so that the traditional longevity peach pattern with the old age clothing as the carrier to get a new inheritance and development.The author focuses on the peach patterns of the Qing Dynasty,whose rich shape structure and strong cultural connotations make them of unique research value.Based on the research theory of longevity peach pattern,this paper uses the literature research method to sort out and summarize the related literature of longevity peach pattern,and probes into the cultural meaning of longevity peach pattern from the perspective of history and culture.Then focus on the Qing Dynasty peach patterns on different carriers of the modeling characteristics and forms.Secondly,questionnaire survey and interview are conducted on the elderly to deeply understand their design needs and pattern needs,based on which subsequent innovative design practices are carried out.Through this research,the following conclusions are drawn: first of all,the peach patterns have auspicious meaning,exorcism of evil spirits,protect the life of the cultural meaning,among which the most representative is health and longevity.Secondly,three forms of peach patterns are summarized.The first type is full in overall shape,the tip of the peach emphasizes the bulge,and the bottom shows the heart shape of the peach;The second is that the tip of the peach has a clear dividing line extending to the bottom,the tip of the peach does not emphasize the bulge,more similar to the daily consumption of peach;The third is the slender peach.In the form of the longevity peach pattern,there are separate patterns,suitable patterns,continuous patterns,continuous patterns are usually scattered.In the form of the combination of peach patterns,and animal patterns combination has five blessings holding longevity,and plant patterns combination has more than nine such,all reflect the good wishes of more blessings and longevity.Finally,the design practice is summarized.Determine the elderly as the design object,with rhythm and elegance as the theme pattern of the design style,in addition to the longevity peach pattern as the main body,also added rolling grass pattern and longevity peach leaves for the theme pattern design,so as to be applied to the elderly clothing design practice.Through this topic,we hope to increase the attention of traditional peach pattern,and inject new ideas for modern elderly clothing design.
