With the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone being elevated to a national development strategy,and as an important national ecological and economic zone in the central region,the land use patterns of the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone will have a significant impact on the sustainable development of the study area.The results of existing studies show that the overall index of eco-economic development in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone is not high,which is closely related to the important urban development patterns within the eco-economic zone.The ecological and environmental impacts of land use change have attracted global attention,and the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone,a relatively stable and undeveloped north-south transition zone in China’s hinterland ecosystem,is now planned as an important practical exploration area for green development in China.However,little research has been conducted on the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone’s ecosystem services,and there is a lack of attention to the state of its ecosystem service substrate and spatial and temporal changes.Accordingly,it is important to investigate the impact of land use changes on the value of ecosystem services in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone,in order to improve the level of ecosystem services in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone,and to help the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone achieve high-quality economic development.Based on the theory of harmonious human-land relationship,the theory of sustainable development,the theory of coordinated regional development and the theory of ecological economy,this paper,with the help of GIS and RS technology,processed and analyzed remote sensing images of the study area for five periods from 2000,2005,2010,2015 and 2020,extracted data on the current situation of land use,and applied the dynamic attitude,transfer matrix,ecosystem service value assessment method,the spatial analysis method,geographic probe,grey prediction model and other methods,Research “study on the impact of land use change on the value of ecosystem services in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone.The main research findings are:(1)From 2000 to 2020,the land use structure of the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone underwent significant changes.During 20 years,the area of arable land,grassland and unused land in the study area decreased,with the largest decrease in the area of arable land and the smallest decrease in the area of unused land;the area of construction land,forest land and water increased,with the largest increase in the area of construction land.Arable land and construction land are the main land use types in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone,accounting for 85.30% of the total area;the dynamic change in grassland is the largest,with a dynamic change rate of 2.76%,and the dynamic change in unused land is the smallest,at 0.28%;the comprehensive dynamic attitude of the last 20 years of research is in the range of 0.27%-0.28%,indicating that the land in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone is still in a stable development stage;mainly composed of arable land and construction land as well as forest land form a reciprocal transformation relationship,in which arable land is mainly transferred out and construction land and forest land are mainly transferred in.(2)During the study period,the total value of ecosystem services in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone showed a fluctuating downward trend;between 2000 and 2020,the total value of ecosystem services in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone decreased by a total of RMB 16.617 billion.In terms of the proportion of the ecological value of various land types,the highest proportion is in the watershed,reaching more than 60%;the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone shows a significant positive spatial correlation in the value of ecosystem services,and the degree of aggregation is increasing;the high-high aggregation is mainly concentrated in Jining in the Huaihai Economic Zone in the north and in the southern and western fringes of the sea,river and river linkage zone in the east and the inland rising zone in the centre and west.Low-low value aggregation areas are mainly concentrated in the northern Huaihai Economic Zone.(3)The land use change in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone is the result of the combined effect of several socio-economic factors.20 years from 2000 to 2020,the driving factors of land use change in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone are total population at the end of the year,urban population,natural population growth rate,GDP,GDP per capita,the proportion of primary industry,and the proportion of secondary industry.In 2030,the area of forested land is expected to increase,while the area of arable land,water,grassland and unused land is expected to decrease;the value of ecosystem services in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone in 2030 is RMB 50.172 billion,which means that the total value of ecosystem services in the study area will decrease further in the next 10 years,with the value of ecosystem services of forested land increasing,and the value of arable land,water,grassland,construction land and unused land decreasing.The value of ecosystem services in the study area will be further reduced in the next 10 years.Combined with the main findings on the impact of land use change on the value of ecosystem system services in the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone,this study aims to enhance the high-quality development of the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone and proposes effective and feasible recommendations on the impact of land use change on the value of ecosystem system services during urbanisation,which is not only important for improving the capacity of land resource management and promoting the sustainable and healthy development of the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone,but also serves as a reference for the development of other regions in China with a similar background to the Huaihe Ecological and Economic Zone. |
