In the context of global climate change,the continuous acceleration of urbanization and the gradual increase of greenhouse gas emissions have become one of the important issues facing all human beings in today’s society.At the same time,it is particularly important to build a green and low-carbon city.Relevant studies have proved that compact urban spatial form with mixed functions can slow down the growth rate of carbon dioxide and is a means of urban planning to realize low-carbon city construction.At present,for the sake of high-quality urban development,the low-carbon construction of new areas and new towns has gradually become a hot topic.Realizing the low-carbon construction and development of the new city has become an important task of the current urban construction.According to the current research status of urban spatial form and urban carbon emission,the mechanism of urban carbon emission is explained from the intermediary factors,and the target direction of realizing low-carbon urban new district is discussed by constructing the index system of urban spatial form.On the basis of its present situation and development needs,build the influence urban carbon emissions index system of urban space form,the quantitative study on the Pudong new area,the analysis of the urban space environment and the relationship between the influence of carbon emissions,through the optimization of urban spatial form and control,to reduce urban carbon emissions and improve the living environment.The main results are as follows:(1)Based on night light data,statistical data and environmental Kuznets curve,Arc GIS platform was used to realize the spatialization of carbon emissions at the scale of the new district.The results showed that urban carbon emissions gradually increased over time,which laid a good data foundation for the subsequent discussion on the relationship between spatial form indicators and carbon emissions.2,042 residential areas were selected as medium and micro scale samples.The actual carbon emissions of the sample residential areas were obtained through field survey questionnaires and online questionnaires,and compared with the carbon emissions estimated by IPCC inventory method,the error ratio between the two was obtained,and the actual carbon emissions of residential areas were obtained.(2)According to the research status at home and abroad and the development status of new areas,urban spatial form indicators that directly or indirectly affect carbon emissions connected with urban planning are selected,which can be divided into land use,road traffic,building layout,infrastructure and green space spatial form indicators according to urban planning elements.The influencing mechanism between carbon emissions and spatial form indicators of Pudong New Area at different scales is established and based on this,Carry on the empirical analysis to the new district respectively.At last,it is concluded that the spatial form indicators affecting carbon emissions in Pudong New Area on the macro scale include land use mixing degree,road network density and building density.At the medium and micro scale,the spatial form indicators affecting carbon emissions in Pudong New Area include land use scale,average number of floors and functional mixing degree.(3)After comparing the quantitative empirical results with the qualitative analysis results,according to the development status of Pudong New Area at the present stage,the paper respectively puts forward suggestions on the spatial form regulation of builtup areas of urban new areas from the perspective of low-carbon.On the macro scale,in terms of land use diversity,TOD pattern layout and intensive development are advocated to reduce carbon emissions from urban residents’ travel.It can be seen from the current data that Pudong New Area is still in the stage of high-quality development.Based on the planning mode of "small blocks and narrow road network" on the premise of orderly economic growth,suggestions are provided for the determination of the urban road density index interval.In terms of green transportation and low-carbon travel,it is proposed to improve the coverage rate of public transport stations,reduce the proportion of motor vehicle travel,improve traffic efficiency,and realize the high-quality development and low-carbon development of the new district.On the medium and micro scale,in terms of land use scale and average number of floors,the appropriate value range under the low-carbon goal of the residential area is obtained,which is optimized by opening up the traffic microcycle,reducing the size of large plots and rational land use layout.In the aspect of functional mixing degree,the index value of sample blocks is planned and optimized to provide empirical research for other current residential areas.
