Research On The Application Of Quanzhou Jincang Embroidery In The Design Of Casual Running Shoes

Quanzhou Jin Cang Xiu is a type of folk embroidery.As an intangible cultural heritage of Fujian Province,it is closely related to the folk culture and religious history of southern Fujian.It embodies folk aesthetics and cultural art,serving as a living fossil of folk art.At the same time,the footwear industry is a pillar industry in the Quanzhou region,with a wide market and vast development prospects.This article approaches from an artistic perspective and,through extensive field visits and research,collects first-hand information.It organizes and analyzes the artistic characteristics,cultural connotations,and the connection with casual running shoes of Jin Cang Xiu in terms of patterns,colors,and techniques.It aims to provide a solution for the inheritance and development of Jin Cang Xiu and enrich the cultural significance of casual running shoes.Based on this theoretical foundation,representative elements of Quanzhou’s ancient architectural forms were selected to innovate the application patterns of Jin Cang Xiu.Through the analysis of excellent case studies from major brands,the design principles for incorporating embroidery into casual running shoes were summarized,emphasizing "traditional blending with modernity,balancing aesthetics and functionality,and meeting market demands." Furthermore,specific design application methods were proposed for the application of patterns,colors,and techniques of Jin Cang Xiu in the design of casual running shoes.Finally,the newly created patterns were integrated into practical design of casual running shoes to validate the feasibility of the theory and achieve the goal of applying research findings.
