Green agricultural production is an important part of high-quality agricultural development and an inherent requirement of rural revitalization.Under the double pressure of resources and environment, the integrated adoption of agricultural green production technology is an important way of agricultural modernization transformation, and farmers’ cooperatives are the important subject of applying the "last kilometer" of agricultural green production technology. However, cooperative green production technology adoption also faces many challenges. On the one hand, compared with the traditional mode of production, green production technology has self-evident advantages, but its high cost and more risks are also difficult to ignore,so the willingness and ability of cooperatives to adopt green production technology can not be matched. On the other hand, problems such as dissimilation, difficulty in collective action and insufficient performance of cooperatives have overshadowed their efforts in promoting the integrated application of green production technologies. Therefore,to crack the cooperative green production technology adoption dilemma has become the meaning of agricultural green development.Admittedly, quite a few cooperatives have adopted various green production technologies, but what are the factors that drive cooperatives to adopt green production technologies? Can the adoption of green production technology improve its performance? What is the difference of the influence of green production technology adoption behavior on the performance of cooperatives under different terrain and technological relations? These problems need to be studied.Based on a survey of 344 farmer cooperatives in Sichuan Province, this study uses Poisson model to identify the main factors influencing the adoption of green production technology by cooperatives on the basis of existing relevant literature and theoretical research. And on the basis of using the entropy method to measure the performance of cooperatives, the Tobit model is used to empirically analyze the influence of green production technology adoption behavior on the multiple performance of cooperatives. Finally, the following conclusions are drawn according to the research results:(1)Cooperatives have become the new force of green production, mainly using 2 to 3green production technologies; However, there are still some problems such as low quality of personnel, low profitability and insufficient promotion of green production technologies.(2)There are different factors affecting the adoption of green production technology in cooperatives.Among them, village cadre status of managers, green cognition, years of migrant work, hiring professional managers, developing the tertiary industry, policy subsidies, and assistance are positively promoting the adoption intensity of green production technology in cooperatives, while demonstration distance has a negative effect.(3)The intensity of green production technology adoption in cooperatives can significantly improve their total performance, but has different effects on classified performance, which has a positive effect on social and ecological performance of cooperatives, but has no significant effect on economic performance.Compared with the cooperatives in mountainous areas and without technical cooperation relationship, the adoption intensity of green production technology in the cooperatives with technical cooperation relationship in plain and hilly areas significantly improved the total performance.According to the conclusion, this study puts forward the following suggestions:(1)improve the policy support system to help the green production behavior of cooperatives;(2)Improve the green consumption market system and promote the transformation of the green economy value of cooperatives;(3)Pay attention to organizational norms and establish cooperative green sample room;(4)Adhere to multiple measures and improve the comprehensive quality of cooperative managers.
