Objective The purpose of this study is to objectively evaluate the disinfection effect of three disinfection methods used in dry-type cupping device, and choose suitable disinfection methods for different materials of cups, and the cost-benefit analysis was carried out.It provides a scientific basis for establishing a reasonable, convenient and quick, economical and practical, safe and efficient disinfection process fordry cupping. Methods 360 cup devices(glass, bamboo, resin can,120 cups in each material)were collected from the patients after dry cupping.Based on actual usage,a simple randomized method was used to select 3 or 6 cup devices of the same materials and size from each patient.Bacterial colony number detection and ATP biofluorometric assay were used to detect the baseline.By means of random number table, cups were divided into three groups in accordance with different disinfection methods, group A,group B and group C(control group). The control group was disinfected with 500mg/L chlorine-containing disinfectant solution.Group A and B were disinfected with disposable compound double chain quaternary ammonium salt disinfection wet towel and 75%alcohol impregnated aseptic gauze, respectively. After drying,in order to evaluate the effect of cleaning and disinfection, bacterial culture colonies and ATP biofluorescence determination were tested again. The data were collected for statistical analysis collecting in order to compare the effects of three disinfection methods. The disinfection efficacy of group A and B was detected to compare whether worse than group C.Meanwhile, the selection of suitable disinfection method and cost-benefit analysis of three materials were carried out.Results①Baseline results of study objects:the results of residual occult blood in all patients were negative and consistent with those observed by naked eyes. The sex, age, material of cupping and cupping methods were identical in the compound double chain quaternary ammonium salt wipes disinfection(group A),75%alcohol gauze(group B)and 500mg/L chlorine disinfectant(group C).And before disinfection, there was no significant difference in the results of bacterial culture colonies and ATP biofluorescence assay(P>0.05,respectively).②Comparison of disinfection effect of three methods:The result of the detection of cleanliness and bacterial contamination used ATP bioluminescence and bacterial culture colony count showed that all the differences before and after disinfection were statistically significant in the three groups(P<0.001),and the disinfection effect was effective.③Non-inferiority analysis of three disinfection methods:Take Group C as control, the disinfection effect of group A and group B was not inferior than control group(P<0.05).④The suitable disinfection methods of different materials:Based on the results of ATP biofluorescence and bacterial culture colony number detection, there was no significant difference(P>0.05)in disinfection effect among disinfection methods of different materials.⑤Cost-benefit analysis:Based on the normal workload(200 fixed cans per material,3 times a day),the direct and indirect cost of compound double chain quaternary ammonium salt disinfection wet towel group were 304.80 yuan and 116.03 yuan,75%alcohol gauze group were 257.88 yuan and 94.90 yuan, and 500mg/L chlorinated disinfection solution group were 517.90 yuan and 190.59 yuan, respectively. The direct and indirect cost of group B were the lowest among three groups, and cost of the group C was the highest. Conclusion The disinfection effect of compound double chain quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant wet towel and 75%alcohol gauze was not inferior to that of 500mg/L chlorine-containing disinfectant solution. All three methods reach the required level of disinfection. There was no significant difference disinfection effect among three kinds of materials. However, compound double chain quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant wet towel and 75%alcohol gauze were superior to chlorine disinfectant in safety, convenience and cost-effectiveness,which in turn makes it more viable for clinical application. |
