Expression Of Galectin-3 And Galectin-9 In The Tissues Of Patients With Endometriosis Carcinogenesis | | Posted on:2019-06-30 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y Shen | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2544305654957799 | Subject:Obstetrics and gynecology | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective:To study the effect of galectin-3(Gal-3)and galectin-9(Gal-9),two members of the galectin family,Endometriosis(Endometriosis,EMs)ectopic endometrial tissue,eutopic and ectopic endometrial tissues,EMs cancerous tissues and normal ovarian tissue expression and correlation,in order to further clarify the pathogenesis of endometriosis,the disease The prevention,early diagnosis and treatment provide experimental basis.Methods : Twenty ectopic endometrial specimens and eutopic endometrium from 20 cases of endometriosis(ovarian chocolate cyst)were collected and 10 cases of endometriosis endometrial cancer were collected as experimental group.30 cases of normal ovarian tissue were collected as control group.The basic limitations of each group of patients: no hormone therapy;no autoimmune diseases,liver disease,diabetes and malignant tumors;ruled out the reproductive organs dysplasia,surgery confirmed no acute inflammation and other pelvic pathological changes.All patients were clinically and pathologically diagnosed.The expression of Gal-3 and Gal-9 in the above-mentioned groups were detected by immunohistochemistry,and the differences among groups were compared.Statistical analysis using SPSS22.0 software,independent sample t test.Results:Gal-3 is mainly expressed in the cytoplasm of endometrial stromal cells,some of the glands have a weakly positive expression in EMs tissues and cancerous tissues was significantly increased,the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05),There was no significant difference in EMs and cancerous tissues(p> 0.05).The expression of Gal-9was mainly in the nucleus and cytoplasm of glandular cells of endometrium,and was partly expressed in stroma.The expression intensity of Gal-9 in EMs tissues and cancerous tissues was significantly lower(p<0.05),there was no significant difference in EMs tissues and cancerous tissues(p> 0.05).The expression of Gal-3 and Gal-9 in eutopic endometrium of EMs was not significantly different from ectopic endometrium(p> 0.05).Conclusion:1、Gal-3 in the control group was negative or weak positive expression in EMs tissue ectopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium increased,while in EMs cancerous tissue increased significantly.Gal-3 may play a role in the regulation of cell adhesion,migration,proliferation and other biological functions;Gal-9 in the control group was positive expression in EMs patients eutopic and ectopic endometrium The expression was decreased,but negative in EMs cancerous tissues.The difference in expression between different tissues may be that Gal-9 plays a negative regulatory role in the carcinogenesis and progression of EMs.2、Gal-3,Gal-9 in EMs eutopic and ectopic endometrium no significant difference in the expression of this result proves endometrial determinism,also shows the EMs eutopic and ectopic lesions It is likely that Gal-3 is a substrate of MMP-9,and MMP-9 is closely related to tumor progression.Therefore,it is speculated that Gal-3 may play a role in tumor invasion and metastasis.However,Gal-9is a ligand of Tim-3,and Tim-3 / Gal-9 pathway may play an important role in the carcinogenesis of EMs. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Endometrisosis(EMs), Galectin-3(Gal-3), Galectin-9(Gal-9), Endometriosis, Immunohistochemistry, Ectopic endometrium | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
