OBJECTIVE:Based on the summary of the previous literature on the exercise program of neck shoulder syndrome, this paper designs a simple, effective and easy to learn exercise program for the early prevention of cervical spine function and neck shoulder muscle pain of college students, eliminates the early symptoms of neck shoulder syndrome of college students, reduces the risk of neck shoulder syndrome, and provides data support for the establishment of Chinese exercise prescription database.METHODS:51 students with cervical disability index score(NDI)≥ 5 and visual analogue pain score(VAS)≥ 2 were selected from Beijing Sport University.According to the randomized block design, they were divided into three groups:compound exercise group, drafting intervention group and control group. The intervention period was 8 weeks. The compound exercise group used compound exercise, the drafting intervention group used drafting training, and the control group only used health education.Spss21.0 was used to analyze the data, and the intervention mode and intervention cycle were judged by double factor repeated measurement analysis of variance. The differences of physical fitness test scores(muscle strength, muscle endurance, joint flexibility),neck physical characteristics index scores(muscle tension, muscle hardness, muscle elasticity)and neck score test index scores(cervical function, cervical muscle pain before intervention),4 weeks and 8 weeks were analyzed.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of neck and shoulder discomfort.RESULTS:1)The influencing factors of neck and shoulder discomfort include lying in bed and watching mobile phone, working at desk for 4 hours in a row(the interval is less than 10 minutes),using electronic equipment for 4 hours in a row(the interval is less than 10 minutes),frequency of physical exercise in a week, and feeling that neck and shoulder muscles are prone to fatigue.2)there was interaction between intervention mode and intervention period on NDI score,F(4,56)=3.581,P=0.011;after 4 weeks of intervention,NDI of compound exercise group decreased by 2.176 points(P<0.05),while that of drafting intervention group decreased(P>0.05);after 8 weeks of intervention,NDI of compound exercise group decreased by 5.471 points(P<0.01),and that of drafting intervention group decreased by 3.941 points(P<0.05).There was no significant change in the control group.3)After 4 weeks of intervention, the VAS of the compound exercise group decreased by 1.469 points(P<0.01)compared with that before the intervention, while that of the drafting intervention group showed a downward trend(P>0.05);after 8 weeks of intervention, the VAS of the compound exercise group decreased by 2.124 points(P<0.01)compared with that before the intervention, and that of the drafting intervention group decreased by 1.055 points(P<0.05),There was no significant change in the control group.4)There was no interaction between the intervention mode and the intervention period on the neck muscle tension, hardness and elasticity;with the extension of the intervention period, there was no significant difference in the physical characteristics of the neck muscle among the three groups;the neck muscle tension and hardness of the compound exercise group and the stretching intervention group showed a downward trend after 4 weeks of intervention, but the neck muscle elasticity of the three groups showed a downward trend with the extension of the intervention period.5)With the extension of the intervention period, the number of dumbbell shrugs and the range of motion of the neck joint in the compound exercise group were effectively improved(P<0.01),and there was a weak linear negative correlation between dumbbell shrugs and NDI,VAS(r=-0.544,0.466,P<0.01),and there was a weak linear negative correlation between the range of motion of the neck joint and VAS(r=-0.386,P<0.01);with the extension of the intervention period, there was a weak linear negative correlation between the range of motion of the neck joint and VAS(r=-0.386,P<0.01);The range of motion of neck joint in the intervention group was improved, and there was a weak linear negative correlation with VAS(r=-0.360,P<0.01);with the extension of the intervention period,no significant change was found in the control group.6)After 4 weeks of intervention, there was significant difference in sitting forward flexion among the three groups(P<0.05),and the sitting forward flexion of the stretching intervention group was 3.44cm higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the composite exercise group was also higher than that of the control group, the result was not statistically significant;there was also significant difference in the number of dumbbell side flat lifting among the three groups(P<0.05),and the number of dumbbell side flat lifting in the composite exercise group compared with the control group, the number increased by 11.47(P<0.05).And compared with the control group, the drawing intervention group also increased, and the result was not statistically significant. After 8 weeks of intervention, there was significant difference in the number of dumbbell side lifts among the three groups(P<0.05),and the number of dumbbell side lifts in the compound exercise group was 14.26 higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the number of dumbbell side lifts in the drafting intervention group was also higher than that in the control group, but the result was not statistically significant.CONCLUSION:1)Neck and shoulder discomfort can easily lead to college students’ inattention, insomnia, dreaminess and anxiety. The main reason of neck and shoulder discomfort of college students is the non-standard life style and habits of sitting and less moving.2)Active resistance training combined with traction and stretching can improve the muscle strength and endurance of neck, shoulder, chest, back and abdomen, reduce the muscle tension, and play a positive role in improving the function of cervical spine, relieving the pain of neck muscles, and improving the stability of cervical spine;tension training mainly based on stretching can effectively improve joint flexibility, reduce muscle tension and hardness It can also improve the function of cervical vertebra and relieve the pain of cervical muscles. The intervention training for 4 weeks had a better effect, and the improvement effect was more significant with the extension of the intervention period.3)This exercise program has a good effect on the early prevention of neck shoulder syndrome in college students.
