Background: Rhinoplasty surgery is one of the most common procedures for cosmetic and cosmetic repairs.It is mainly used for saddle nose deformities caused by cosmetic nasal improvement and trauma,congenital deformities,tumor resection,and other reasons.Silicone prosthetic rhinoplasty is widely used due to its stable material properties,low price,and good biocompatibility.However,the commonly used rhinoplasty silicone prostheses currently have problems such as translocation,skew,slippage,and light transmission in clinical applications;and because the silicone nasal prostheses have only fixed models,precise sculpting is required during the operation,which increases the operation time and surgical risks.With the advent and widespread application of 3D printing technology,it is possible to design and print prostheses based on patient data,and to prepare 3D printed silicone nasal prostheses through the rough design of the surface of the prosthesis,making it possible to solve the above problems.However,the traditional inverted mold 3D printing prosthesis still has the disadvantages of complicated prosthesis manufacturing procedures and low accuracy.We first use 3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis,which can be directly designed based on patient data in a simple and effective way.Objectives: 1.Explore whether 3D printed silicone nasal prostheses can alleviate displacement problems such as translocation,slide,and skew of the prosthesis compared to traditional silicone prostheses.2.Explore whether the 3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis can reduce the light transmittance of the prosthesis compared to traditional silicone prostheses.3.Explore whether 3D printed silicone nasal prostheses can reduce surgical time compared to traditional silicone prostheses.Methods and Results:1.3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis fits more closely with rabbit nasal bone,and tissue can grow on the rough surface of prosthesis,which can reduce the displacement of the prosthesis.Due to the lack of existing research methods to accurately determine the displacement of the prosthesis,we have established a new method to measure the accurate displacement of the prosthesis after rhinoplasty using CT reconstruction technology.By comparing the displacement of the 3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis and the traditional nasal prosthesis at two time points after implantation,it was found that the displacement of the 3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis was much smaller than that of the traditional nasal silicone prosthesis.Statistical significance.Gross observation and fixed section found that the 3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis had tissue growth on the surface,and the prosthesis was tightly attached to the skin,making it difficult to produce displacement.2.The 3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis had rich tissue penetration and penetration due to the porous design and through-pore design,which could reduce the light transmittance of the prosthesis.The prosthesis itself had a porous design,which could reduce light transmission due to the refraction of light.Through the light transmittance test of the prosthesis slices,it was found that the 3D printed prosthesis had a lower light transmittance.At the same time,the rabbit nose was tested at the same time.The body transmittance test showed that the3 D printed prosthesis was significantly lower than the traditional prosthesis after implantation.It was taken out together with the prosthesis and the surface skin,and found that the 3D printed prosthesis had rich tissue infiltration through Micro-CT scanning,which was an important reason for the reduction of the body’s light transmittance.3.3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis implantation surgery,the operation time was significantly reduced.The 3D printed silicone nasal prosthesis was customized to print based on experimental animal data,which could save surgical engraving time.At the same time,each prosthesis had a corresponding guide plate,which significantly reduced the time to implant the surgically separated prosthesis into the cavity,thus greatly reducing operation time.Conclusion: The 3D printed silicone prosthesis could solve the problems of prosthesis sliding,light transmission,etc.,achieve personalized design,meet individual needs,and could reduce the operation time and improve the operation efficiency.All evaluation indicators were better than traditional nasal prostheses.
