| Objective:to investigate the status of Oral self-management in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)and to analyze the influencing factors of oral self-management in patients with DM.Method 1.Questionnaire making: The investigation tool is self-made oral health self-management behavior questionnaire,after reading a lot of literature,the initial questionnaire was made according to the 4th National Oral Health Survey(adult).The initial questionnaire was revised after Delphi experts’ inquiry,and the reliability and validity of the items were analyzed after the pre-questionnaire,and finally the questionnaire was formed.2.Questionnaire survey: 123 patients with Type 2 diabetes were investigated by convenience sampling method.3.Statistical analysis of data: SPSS26 was used to analyze the data,the measurement data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation;the count data were expressed as rate or proportion;and the comparison between the measurement data groups which obey normal distribution or approximate normal distribution was analyzed by variance analysis;non-parametric test was used for non-normal distribution measurementdata;Spearman correlation analysis was used for correlation analysis and multiple linear analysis was used for multi-factor analysis.Results 1.The oral health self-management behavior of patients with type 2 diabetes was in the middle and low level.The results of four dimensionalities are: the rate of poor,medium and good oral health self-management was 22.3%,54.5% and 23.1%;The rate of poor,moderate and good oral hygiene self-management behaviors were 74.38%,20.66% and 4.96% respectively;The rates of poor,moderate and good diet self-management were 22.31%,8.26% and 69.42% respectively;and the rates of poor,moderate and good oral health-seeking were 92.56%,4.95% and 2.48% respectively.The rate of poor,moderate and good self-management of oral health habits were 14.05%,20.66% and 65.29% respectively.2.Single factor analysis of oral health care behavior in patients with type 2 diabetes Mellitus: ⑴ results of single factor analysis on self-management behavior of oral hygiene:Sex,last year’s residence,education level,occupation,Household monthly income per capita,joining "diabeticfriends’ home" or wechatgroup,frequency of getting DM oral health knowledge from media,frequency of receiving DM oral health guidance from medical staff,oral health knowledge and oral health attitude had influence on patients’ oral health self-management behavior.⑵ single factor analysis of ORAL HEALTH DIET Self-managementbehavior:sex,last year’s residence,education level,jointhe "diabetic friends’ home" or diabetes Wechat Group,receive medical personnel about DM oral health guidance frequency,oral health knowledge,oral health attitude have influence on patients oral health diet self-management behavior.⑶Results of single factor analysis on self-management behavior of dental consultation:last year’s residence,education level,Household monthly income per capita,frequency of obtaining DM oral health knowledge from media,frequency of receiving DM oral health instruction from medical staff,oral health knowledge have influence on patients’ self-management behavior.⑷Single factor analysis of oral health self-management behavior ofother lifestylehabits:sex and occupation have influence on patients’ oral health and other habits self-management behavior.3.Multivariate factor analysis of oral health care behavior in patients with type 2 diabetes Mellitus: ⑴The influencing factors of oral hygiene self-management behavior were: educational level and frequency of receiving oral health instruction on DM from medical staff ⑵The influence factors of oral Diet self-management behavior are: Sex,age.⑶ The influencing factors of self-management behavior of seeking medical treatment in stomatology were: educational level,frequency of obtaining DM oral health knowledge from media.⑷The factors influencing self-management behavior of other oral health habits are: sex,frequency of media access to DM oral health knowledge.Conclusion1.The oral health self-management behavior of patients with type 2 diabetes Mellitus is not good,and the overall level is in the middle and low level.Among them,oral self-management behavior is the worst,in fact,oral cleaning self-management behavior is poor.Oral Health Diet self-management behavior and oral health other habits self-management behavior are also poor.2.Oral Health self-management behavior of patients with diabetes mellitus is influenced by many factors,among them,sex,age,educational level,receive medical staff on diabetes oral health care guidance frequencyare the main factors affecting the oral health self-management behavior of patients with type 2 diabetes. |
