Effect Of Orem Self-care Mode On Quality Of Life In Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy

Objective:To establish the influence of Orem self-care model based Nursing Intervention Program on the quality of life,self-care ability and toxic and side-effect(AR)of patients with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma(NPC)after chemotherapy,and to explore the methods to improve the self-care ability and reduce the toxic and side-effect(AR)of patients,to improve the quality of life of patients,clinical staff to improve and improve the quality of life of patients to provide relevant theoretical basis and more operational programs.Methods:The 146 patients with naso pharyngeal carcinoma treated in the hospital from January 2018 to January 2020 were selected as the research object.According to the order of patients in the control group,and the study group,the subjects were randomly divided into control group and study group,with 73 cases in each group..Routine basic nursing and health knowledge education after admission were implemented in the control group,and the study group received Orem self-care intervention.It were compared in the self-care ability,toxic and side effects and patients’ quality of life of the two groups.Results:1.Comparison of self-care ability of the two groups: the mean ESCA score of chemotherapy patients in the(1)study group was(65.55 ± 6.55),and the mean ESCA score of chemotherapy patients was(65.15 ± 6.58).The self-concept,nursing skills and nursing responsibility scores were higher than those of the control group(P <0.05).2.Comparison of the two groups: before the beginning of the experiment,the taste change,nausea,vomiting,skin reaction,dysphagia,mucosal response were lower than the control group,significantly(P <0.05).3.Comparison of quality of survival of the two groups: the mean score of(72.15 ± 7.08)before the intervention(75.15 ± 7.05)of the study group,overall health status,physical function,role function,emotional function,cognitive function and social function of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The application of Orem self-care mode to the care of patients with NPC chemotherapy can significantly improve patients’ self-care awareness,self-care ability and related health skills,and then reduce the toxic reactions of patients,and further achieve the purpose of improving patient quality of life.
