Clinical Observation Of Curative Effect Of Acupuncture And Herb,Combined With Mesalazine In Treating Mild And Moderate Ulcerative Colitis With Syndrome Of Cold And Hot

Objective: To clarify the clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with Modified Wumei Pill in the treatment of mild and moderate ulcerative colitis with syndrome of cold and hot,and to provide the basis for optimizing and enriching the traditional treatment strategy.Methods: 60 cases of patients of mild and moderate ulcerative colitis with syndrome of cold and hot were selected as the objects,which were divided into experimental group and control group,each of group involved 30 cases of patients.The control group was given oral Mesalazine,and the treatment group was given acupuncture and Modified Wumei Pill on this basis.Clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome efficacy,inflammatory indexes(ESR,CRP,FC),quality score of life and safety indexes were observed before and after treatment.Results: Clinical efficacy: Effective rate of experimental group was 83.3% and that of control group was 60.0%,experimental group was better than the control group(P<0.05).TCM syndrome score: Total score of experimental group after treatment was lower than that of control group(P<0.05);Effective rate was 93.3% in experimental group and 66.7% in control group,and discrepancy of them was statistically significant(P<0.05).Endoscopic response rate and mucosal healing rate: 56.7% of experimental group and 26.7% of control group,experimental group was better than control group(P<0.05).There was no significant discrepancy in mucosal healing rate between two groups(P>0.05).Quality score of life: Score of experimental group increased higher than that of control group(P<0.01).Inflammation indicators: CRP,ESR and FC in experimental group were decreased more than those in control group(P<0.05).Safety:The safety indexes of the two groups were normal without significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion: Acupuncture and herb combined with Mesalazine in the treatment of mild and moderate ulcerative colitis with syndrome of cold and hot is superior to western medicine alone in improving clinical efficacy,inducing remission,improving TCM symptoms,improving intestinal symptoms under endoscopy,improving quality of life and alleviating inflammatory activities,with well safety.
