Effects Of Modified Guizhi Fuling Pills On Endometrial Thickening Associated With Tamoxifen Therapy

Objective: This study analyzed the effects of Guizhi Fuling Pills on endometrial thickening associated with tamoxifen treatment,and provided new methods and ideas for improving the quality of life of patients with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.Methods: Sixty patients were enrolled(randomly divided into two groups),the treatment group(Guizhi Fuling pills plus or minus tamoxifen)and the control group(tamoxifen alone),12 weeks for one cycle,and the efficacy was evaluated after one cycle of treatment.Results: There was no significant difference in baseline characteristics between the treatment group and the control group.There were statistically significant differences in endometrial thickness(P=0.000<0.05),TCM syndrome score(P=0.000<0.05)and KPS score(P=0.000<0.05)in the treatment group before and after treatment.There were no significant differences in endometrial thickness(P =0.801>0.05),TCM syndrome score(P=0.105>0.05)and KPS score(P =0.763>0.05)before and after treatment in the control group.In the evaluation of the efficacy of TCM syndromes,there was a significant difference in the efficacy between the two groups(p=0.000<0.05).Conclusion: The addition and reduction of Guizhi Fuling Pills can effectively treat the endometrial thickening caused by tamoxifen,effectively improve the TCM symptoms related to tamoxifen,effectively improve the quality of life of cancer patients,and confirm the clinical safety of Guizhi Fuling Pills.
