Clinical Efficacy Of Wuteng Tang In The Treatment Of Cold-Heat Mixed Type Of Tremor

OBJECTIVE: A randomized controlled clinical study was conducted to observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of Wuteng Tang in the treatment of cold-heat mixed type of tremor,and to assess the safety of the study and explore its Chinese medical etiology and treatment ideas,so as to provide treatment experience for the treatment of tremor in Chinese medicine.METHODS: The subjects of this study were all patients with cold-heat mixed type of tremors who attended the outpatient clinic of the Department of Encephalopathy of Taian Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from August2020 to September 2021.35 patients were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the rest were assigned to the control group.The control group was treated with only dobutamine tablets,while the experimental group was treated with Wuteng Tang on top of this.The patients in both groups were compared with each other and with themselves to assess the changes in the efficacy of the two groups.The patients were also observed for any adverse effects during the medication period to evaluate their safety.Results: A total of 70 patients were enrolled in this study,1 case was excluded from the control group and 1 case was lost,making a total of 33 cases;2 cases were lost from the experimental group,making a total of 33 cases;a total of 66 cases were actually counted.The general information between the two groups was comparable(P>0.05).After analysis: the total effective rate of the experimental group was 90.90%,compared with 63.60% in the control group,the overall efficacy of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(1)In terms of TCM symptoms,the experimental group showed better improvement than the control group in terms of TCM symptoms(P<0.05).(2)On the UPDRS-Ⅲ scale,the efficacy of the experimental group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).(3)The PDQ-39 questionnaire showed improvement in both groups,with the experimental group showing better results(p<0.05).(4)Safety assessment: no abnormalities were observed during the study and the patients tolerated it.Conclusion: Through analysis of the efficacy and safety of the clinical data,Wuteng Tang is safe and effective in the treatment of cold-heat mixed type of tremor.It can alleviate the symptoms of tremor,improve cold-heat mixed type of TCM symptoms,restore neurological function and improve the quality of daily life without significant adverse effects,and has a long-lasting effect,with good clinical efficacy and high safety.
