| Objective: To evaluate the effect of perioperative application of pediatric massage on restlessness after sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia in children, and to explore its safety and effectiveness. Methods : This is a prospective randomized controlled study.60 children aged 1-11 years were selected from the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of traditional Chinese medicine from November 2020 to December 2021 for pediatric orthopaedic surgery under sevoflurane inhalation general anesthesia + nerve block anesthesia. The subjects who met the exclusion criteria were randomly divided into massage group(Group s)and control group(Group C).There was no significant difference in age, gender composition, height and weight between the two groups. The massage group was given preoperative children’s massage for 10 minutes and postoperative children’s massage for 10 minutes. The age, weight, operation time, anesthesia time, and preoperative and postoperative vital signs of the two groups were analyzed. The time of reaching Aldrete out of the room score, the probability of agitation, adverse reactions and agitation scores were compared between the two groups, and the incidence of postoperative adverse reactions was counted. Results:There was no significant difference in gender, age, height, weight, operation and anesthesia time between the two groups(P >0.05).There was no significant difference in blood pressure, pulse oxygen saturation and heart rate between the two groups(P > 0.05).The time required for the Aldrete score to be greater than 9in the two groups was compared, and the time required in the massage group was less than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The postoperative PEAD score of the two groups was compared. The agitation score of the massage group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was compared. There were no adverse reactions such as postoperative laryngeal and airway spasm in the two groups. The incidence of agitation in the massage group(6.67%)was lower than that in the control group(16.67%).Conclusion : Applying pediatric massage to pediatric patients undergoing sevoflurane anesthesia can reduce the occurrence of agitation in the recovery period of children after operation, reduce the time for patients to reach the safety standard out of the room, and have a positive impact on the postoperative safety and recovery of patients.Pediatric massage is widely used in clinic and is easy to be accepted by children. It can be safely used in clinic because it does not increase the risk of adverse reactions. |
