| Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of traction repair combined with acupuncture compared with conventional traction combined with acupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation,in order to provide a safe, simple and effective plan for the clinical treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods:A total of 168 patients who met the diagnostic criteria of lumbar disc herniation in the Massage Department of Shandong Provincial Hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were selected and divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 84 patients in each group. The observation group received traction repair combined with acupuncture therapy, traction repair once a week, acupuncture once a day,6 times a week; The control group received conventional traction combined with acupuncture treatment, routine traction and acupuncture once a day,6 times a week. Both groups were treated with 1 week as a course of treatment for 2 weeks. The visual analogue scale(VAS),Oswestry Disability Index(ODI),and Japanese Orthopaedic Association Evaluation score(JOA)were recorded before and after treatment, respectively. The efficacy of the two groups was compared, and the recorded data were analyzed using SPSS25.0 software.Results:1.Intra-group comparison,VAS score and ODI score decreased after treatment, while JOA score increased in both groups, with statistical significance(P < 0.05).After treatment,VAS score and ODI score of the observation group decreased more significantly, and JOA score increased more significantly, with statistically significant differences(P < 0.05).2.The comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groups showed that the total effective rate of the observation group was 92.59% and the healing rate was 65.43%,while the total effective rate of the control group was 80.00%and the healing rate was 45.00%.The observation group was superior to the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.Safety evaluation showed that the study was safe and no serious adverse reactions occurred. Conclusion: Traction repair combined with acupuncture therapy can effectively relieve pain and improve the function of the patient’s lumbar spine. It is a safe and effective method for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, which is worthy of clinical promotion. |
