Objective:The relationship between the total score and each dimension of The Psychotic Symptom Rating Scales-Auditory Hallucination Subscale(PSYRATS-AH),the total score and each dimension of Beliefs About Voices Questionnaire-Revised(Revised)(BAVQ-R)and their suicidal ideation(SI)of untreated first-episode schizophrenia(FES)patients is rarely reported at home and abroad. This study will systematically explore the correlation between PSYRATS-AH total score and all dimensions score,BAVQ-R total score and all dimensions score and SI in untreated FES patients, providing data support for revealing the relationship between suicidal ideation(SI)and auditory verbal hallucinations(AVHs)in FES patients.Method:A total of one hundred and twenty untreated FES patients(18 years old ≤ age ≤ 45years)who met the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia in The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders,Fifth Edition(DSM-5)were selected for the research objects. All research objects were assessed using PSYRATS-AH and BAVQR scales.According to the evaluation results, the research subjects were divided into the non-AVHs group(n=40)and the AVHs group(n=80)according to the presence of AVHs.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0 to compare the differences in general demographic data and Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale scores between the two groups,it was found that the risk of SI was higher in patients with AVHs than in patients without AVHs.To understand the relationship between AVHs and SI in untreated FES patients, the patients in the AVHs group were divided into the SI group(n=30)and the non-SI group(n=50)according to the presence or absence of SI.Differences in general demographic data and PSYRATS-AH total score and each dimension score,BAVQ-R total score and each dimension score between the SI group and the non-SI group Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to explore the correlation of PSYRATS-AH total score and each dimension score,BAVQR total score and each dimension score with SI in the SI group.Results:(1)Patients with AVHs had a higher risk of developing SI compared with patients without AVHs(P<0.05).(2)The PSYRATS-AH total score and emotional characteristics, cognitive interpretation two dimensions scores,BAVQ-R total score and Malevolence,Omnipotence and resistance three dimensions scores of patients in the SI group were significantly higher than those in the non-SI group(P<0.01).(3)Pearson correlation analysis found that there was a positive correlation between the total PSYRATS-AH score and the scores of emotional characteristics and cognitive interpretation, the total BAVQ-R score and the scores of omnipotence and malevolence of patients in the SI group and their BSSI score in the last week.(r=0.682,r=0.648,r=0.479,r=0.480,r=0.646,r=0.512,P<0.05).(4)Multiple linear regression analysis found that the scores of emotional characteristics(β=0.258,P=0.020)and omnipotence(β=0.197,P=0.036)of AVHs in FES patients in the SI group were positively correlated with their BSSI scores in the last week(P<0.05).conclusion:(1)Patients with AVHs had a higher risk of suicide compared with patients without AVHs.(2)The PSYRATS-AH total score,BAVQ-R total score and AVHs emotional characteristics, cognitive interpretation, malevolence, omnipotence, resistance scores of patients in the SI group were significantly higher than those in the non-SI group. In addition,The higher the scores of PSYRATS-AH total score,BAVQ-R total score and emotional characteristics, cognitive interpretation, malevolence and omnipotence of patients in the SI group, the stronger their suicidal ideation. In particular, the higher the scores of emotional characteristics and omnipotence, the stronger the suicidal ideation.
