Patriotic Health Movement In Shandong Province In The Early Days Of The Founding Of New China

In the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the Communist Party of China led the Shandong people to carry out a massive patriotic health campaign,which dealt a heavy blow to the arrogance of U.S.imperialism and ensured the lives,health and safety of the people.The patriotic health movement has far-reaching influence and is a great innovation in my country’s health cause.Re-exploring the patriotic health movement in the early days of the founding of New China has important reference significance for the development of my country’s socialist health cause and the current epidemic prevention and control work.This paper mainly discusses from three aspects.The first part expounds the conditions for the development of the patriotic health movement in Shandong Province in the early days of the founding of New China.First of all,from the historical background,it shows that Shandong Province is from four aspects: epidemic diseases,backward medical and health conditions,low health level of the people,and poor urban and rural environmental sanitation.Health work faces serious challenges.Secondly,it explained the practical and urgent needs of Shandong Province to carry out the patriotic health campaign from the perspective of changing the backward health status,protecting people’s life and health,and defending against American germ warfare.Finally,it is expounded that the theoretical guidance and practical basis of the patriotic health movement in Shandong Province come from Mao Zedong’s health thought and the experience of health and epidemic prevention in the revolutionary period.The second part sorts out the main contents of the patriotic health development in Shandong Province in the early days of the founding of New China,that is,comprehensively promoting the construction of various health work,laying a solid foundation for Shandong to carry out the patriotic health movement;the whole people participated in the anti-bacterial warfare stage,and the patriotic health movement was established.The committee formulates anti-bacterial warfare principles and policies,publicizes anti-bacterial warfare knowledge,organizes and leads the masses to participate in the clean-up campaign;the whole people participate in the era of the four evils and sanitation activities,and the patriotic sanitation campaign is closely integrated with production activities and the protection of people’s health.The third part makes a summary evaluation from the effect,deficiency and basic experience of the patriotic health movement in Shandong Province in the early days of the founding of New China.During the development of the patriotic health movement,Shandong Province initially established a health and epidemic prevention system,changed the appearance of urban and rural areas,and raised people’s health awareness.Although there are certain deficiencies in its actual work,it does not affect the results it brings.Adhering to the leadership of the party,adhering to the supremacy of the people,and taking scientific prevention and control measures are still applicable in the health work of the new era.The health situation we are facing in the new era is still severe.As a landmark event in health work,the patriotic health campaign is still worth summarizing and learning today.Summarizing and learning the specific practices and lessons of the patriotic health campaign has important theoretical and practical significance for guiding the epidemic prevention and control work in the new era.
