The medical environment and doctor-patient relationships are closely related to the interests of everyone, and the media has put it in the spotlight. In recent years, media reports on doctor-patient conflicts have frequently triggered secondary public opinion. Therefore,it is necessary to systematically study the framework of media coverage of doctor-patient relationship issues.Based on the influence and quantity of different media, the People’s Daily, the Beijing News and Baiyishanmao were selected as the representatives of mainstream media,market-oriented media and self-media.And 7 representative doctor patient conflicts were screened.Based on Zang Guoren’s theory of "three levels of frame",118 reports of 7 events from the three media were taken as samples to analyze the similarities and differences of the frame construction. The study found that the People’s Daily adopts a one-respect factual framework, trusts the official authority, and slightly leans towards doctor;the Beijing News adopts a multi-dimensional framework with attention to multiple viewpoints,a slight bias toward the patient;Baiyishanmao adopts an emergency response framework, sympathizes with and understands doctors, and is entirely in favor of doctors.Combining in-depth interviews, the author interviewed 7 journalists and editors of the People’s Daily and the Beijing News to explore the causes of the framework. It is found that media reports are constructed in different ways and characteristics under the constraints of the news organization framework, social historical and cultural context as well as journalists’ news ideas. The People’s Daily has a long reporting cycle and strict censorship. In order to balance timeliness and accuracy,it reprints more reports from official agencies and mainstream media to present the facts, acting as a "neutral" and "interpreter" of the incident report. The Beijing News can obtain a large amount of first-hand information from different groups, and supervise the implementation and resolution of the incident, acting as an "interpreter" and "opponent" of the incident report.Baiyishanmao is not limited by the framework of news organization, and it posts comments based on personal experience to discuss the countermeasures, acting as a "participant" in event reporting. Finally, the review texts are analyzed by text mining and text analysis, and the differences in audience cognition under the three media reporting frameworks are compared. From the reports published by the three media on the Weibo platform, the author selects Weibo articles whose texts exactly correspond to the Wechat reports, takes the Wechat reading amount as the ranking standard, and combines the Weibo retweet data, analysis 1,911 comments from the three media. It was found that the media reporting framework has an impact on both the themes and emotions of the audience, and has a limited impact on communication. The audience under the factual framework is rational, objective, overall neutral and slightly inclined to the doctors;the audience under the pluralistic framework is dislocated, questioning the media and paying more attention to the patients;and the audience under the coping framework is cognitively positive, sympathetic to the doctor, eager to find a solution.Based on the above research, the author puts forward three suggestions.First is to enrich the sources of information, reduce the fuzzy quotation. The other is to balance multiple perspectives and avoid pre-set positions. And the third is to actively explore countermeasures as well as enhance communication between doctors and patients.
