Not only is the health industry an important project related to the lives and health of the general public,but it is also a livelihood project related to social stability and development.China’s medical and health care industry has made significant progress in recent years with a steady improvement in the level of social and economic development.However,the fact that the doctor-patient relationship is not harmonious is not optimistic,especially in grassroots hospitals with relatively incomplete medical resource allocation.This disharmonious doctor-patient relationship is not conducive to hospital development and societal stability,and exploration of the pathway to building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship has become a pressing task.Building a harmonious physician-patient relationship is a process that requires cooperation and effort from government,physicians,and patients alike.Grassroots hospitals are difficult to reach policy level changes and influence the behavior of doctors,nurses,and patients.Optimization and reform of hospital internal management,however,can promote the building of a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.Building on this foundation,the research aim of this article is to explore problems in crisis management of the doctor-patient relationship in grassroots hospitals,and to find targeted solutions based on the reasons for the problems,in order to improve the crisis management process of doctor-patient relationship in grassroots hospitals and establish a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.This article takes H Hospital,a pioneer hospital in the pilot reform of grassroots public hospitals in Z city and a typical representative of grassroots hospitals,as the research object.Research methods such as case study and semi-structured interview,combined with the 4R crisis management model,are used to analyse and develop the current crisis situation of the doctor-patient relationship in H Hospital.Using data and case analysis,it can be seen that the management actions taken by the hospital to build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship have met with some success,However,there are still problems such as insufficient understanding of the crisis prevention stage in the doctor-patient relationship,passive monitoring in the early warning stage of the doctor-patient relationship crisis,delayed public relations in the crisis handling stage of the doctor-patient relationship,and weakened feedback in the crisis mitigation stage of the doctor-patient relationship.Focusing on the key links in the prevention,monitoring,handling,and mitigation of doctor-patient relationship crises,and addressing current issues in building a harmonious doctor-patient relationship at H Hospital,this article proposes that grassroots hospitals should focus on medical quality control and patient expectation guidance during the crisis prevention phase of doctor-patient relationship crises,and strengthen crisis monitoring and conduct drills during the crisis warning phase of doctor-patient relationship crises,In the crisis management stage of doctor-patient relationship,a dedicated team should be established and information disclosure should be promoted.The crisis relief phase of the doctor-patient relationship should focus on dynamic patient follow-up and management,and emphasize publicity work.The aim is to provide a practical reference and suggestions for grassroots hospitals to improve crisis management of doctor-patient relationships and to build a harmonious doctor-patient relationship.
