Objective:(1)to compare the expression of S100A8/A9 protein in serum of gouty arthritis group and healthy control group, and analyze the relationship between S100A8/A9 protein and disease activity.(2)To analyze the difference of serum S100A8/A9 protein level expression and ultrasonic comprehensive score in gouty arthritis patients under different ultrasonic manifestations, and the correlation between them, and to explore the role of serum S100A8/A9 protein combined with ultrasonic comprehensive score in monitoring joint injury in gouty arthritis patients.Methods:(1)37 patients with gouty arthritis who were initially diagnosed and improved the joint ultrasonic examination(first metatarsophalangeal joint, double ankle joint, double knee joint)were selected, and 30 healthy subjects were collected at the same time. The expression of S100A8/A9 protein in gouty arthritis group and healthy control group were compared.(2)According to different joint ultrasonic manifestations, gouty arthritis group was divided into three groups A,B and C(group A was non aggregate group, group B was aggregate and double track sign group, and group C was gout stone and bone erosion group).Ultrasonic scores were given to each group to analyze whether there were differences in S100A8/A9 protein levels and ultrasonic comprehensive scores among the three groups and the correlation between them.Results:(1)the level of S100A8/A9 protein in gouty arthritis group(median,94.22 ng/ml)was significantly higher than that in healthy control group(median,47.43 ng / ml).(2)Comparison of serum S100A8/A9 protein levels among different groups of patients with gouty arthritis, group A(median,87.31 ng/ml)and group C,group B(median,93.80 ng/ml)and group C(median,109.94 ng/ml)showed statistically significant(P < 0.05),group A(median,1.5 points)and group C The ultrasonic comprehensive scores of group B(median,2.0 points)and group C(median,4.0 points)were also statistically different(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in S100A8/A9 protein level and ultrasonic comprehensive score between group A and group B(P > 0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that S100A8/A9 protein levels in patients with gouty arthritis were positively correlated with leukocyte count,C-reactive protein, uric acid and joint ultrasonic comprehensive score(rs=0.407,0.599,0.455,0.589;P < 0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis with serum S100A8/A9 protein as dependent variable showed that serum S100A8/A9 protein level was correlated with joint ultrasound score and TG level.Conclusion:(1)the level of serum S100A8/A9 protein is increased in patients with gouty arthritis. It is considered that S100A8/A9 protein may participate in the occurrence and development of gouty arthritis and is related to the disease activity of patients with gouty arthritis;(2)There were differences in serum S100A8/A9 protein level and joint ultrasonic comprehensive score under different ultrasonic manifestations. It was considered that serum S100A8/A9 protein level combined with joint ultrasonic comprehensive score could reflect the degree of joint injury in patients with gouty arthritis;(3)In patients with gouty arthritis, serum S100A8/A9 protein levels were correlated with joint ultrasound scores and TG levels.
