Clinical Effect Of Dachaihu Decoction Combined With Liraglutide In Weight Control Of Obese Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Objective In order to provide a safe and effective integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment plan for obese patients with T2 DM,we studied the clinical weight loss and hypoglycemic effects and medication safety of Dachaihu decoction combined with liraglutide.Methods The cases in this clinical study were all derived from obese patients with T2 DM who were hospitalized in Qinghai Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2019 to December 2021.A total of 60 patients who met the research requirements were included were divided into the treatment group(n=30)and the control group(n=30)according to the random number table method using the principles of randomized and controlled trials.Treatment group: received Dachaihu Decoction Modified Recipe combined with liraglutide injection;Control group:received only liraglutide injection.Following 8 weeks of treatment,by analyzing the patients’ TCM symptoms,obesity indicators(weight,BMI,WC,hip circumference,WHR,body fat rate),blood lipids(TG,TC,HDL,LDL),UA and blood sugar(FBG,2h PG,Hb A1c)changes before and after treatment,we summarize the differences in efficacy within and between groups.Results 1.The symptoms of TCM were improved in both groups,and the treatment group was better than that in the control group;2.The total symptom curative effect of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group;3.Obesity indicators were improved in both groups,and the improvement effect of weight and BMI in the treatment group was better than that in the control group;4.The blood lipid indexes were improved in both groups,and the improvement effect of blood lipid TG in the treatment group was better than that in the control group;5.The blood glucose indexes were improved in both groups,and the improvement effect of blood glucose FBG and 2h PG in the treatment group was better than that in the control group.Conclusion 1.The treatment group has obvious effect in alleviating the T2 DM symptoms such as upset irritability,bitterness in the mouth,dry mouth and constipation in obese T2 DM patients with liver and stomach stagnation and heat syndrome,which is better than the control group.2.The treatment group can effectively control the body weight of obese T2 DM patients with liver-stomach stagnation-heat syndrome type,reduce MBI,improve the central obesity body shape of T2 DM with abdominal visceral fat accumulation mainly,and have better lipid-lowering and hypoglycemic effects.The curative effect is certain,better than the control group.
