Affected by COVID-19,the teaching of online Chinese has attracted widespread attention from scholars,but there is not much research on online Medical Chinese teaching.As a Chinese for Specific Purposes,how is the online teaching situation during the epidemic? what are the similarities and differences with offline teaching? what are the problems with online teaching? how should it be optimized? These problems need to be solved urgently.To this end,we took 214 international students and 13 teachers majoring in MBBS in a certain university as the survey subjects,and designed student and teacher questionnaires respectively to study the teaching situation of online medical Chinese from the aspects of learning situation,teaching situation,online interaction,teaching platform,teaching effect and other aspects.At the same time,some international students and teachers were invited to participate in one-on-one interviews to analyze the factors affecting the teaching effect.Combining the results of the questionnaire survey with the content of the interview research,we find out the problems existing in the online medical Chinese teaching in the university,and put forward corresponding optimization suggestions.The study found that the medical Chinese learning efficiency of international students is affected by their English level,the learning motivation is affected by online clinical practice mode,and the learning state is affected by the online learning environment;there is a pattern of teachers’ online teaching methods,and teaching activities are affected by teaching platforms,and teachers with different professional backgrounds have different teaching depths.Besides,large classes are not conducive to the development of online teaching activities,and the teaching time will also affect the teaching effect to a certain extent.In this regard,we put forward some optimization suggestions.First,teachers should help international students adjust their learning attitudes,international students should improve their independent learning ability,correct their learning motivation,and optimize learning strategies.Second,teachers should improve teaching methods,optimize interaction strategies,and make up for Due to the "time and space" defects of upper-level teaching,it promotes online collaborative learning and develops a collaborative teaching model.Finally,the school should also classify international students according to their language level,compile school-based textbooks in line with practice,improve teaching efficiency,adopt multi-platform joint teaching methods,improve teaching functions,pay attention to home-school cooperation,and create a good environment for students.This research is committed to providing a clearer basis for online teaching reflection for teachers in a the university,improve the learning efficiency of international students in online medical Chinese teaching,improve teachers’ teaching methods,improve the quality of online medical Chinese teaching,and provide a certain practical foundation for the sustainable development of online medical Chinese teaching in MBBS.
