Objective: To explore the expression and clinical significance of serum kallikrein 5(KLK5),interleukin 17(IL-17)and interleukin 18(IL-18)in patients with rosacea. Methods: A total of 65 patients with rosacea from the dermatology clinic of Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital from May 2022 to October 2022 were selected as the observation group and 20 healthy persons in the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of serum kallikrein 5(KLK5),interleukin-17(IL-17)and interleukin-18(IL-18)were compared between the two groups. The correlation between the severity of the disease and the levels of KLK5,IL-17 and IL-18 in patients with rosacea was analyzed. The levels of KLK5,IL-17 and IL-18 in different types of rosacea were compared. Results: The levels of KLK5,IL-17 and IL-18 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The serum levels of KLK5,IL-17 and IL-18 in patients with rosacea were positively correlated with IGA score and CEA score(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of KLK5,IL-17 and IL-18 between patients with erythematotelangiectatic rosacea and patients with papulopustular rosacea(P>0.05).Conclusion:Serum KLK5,IL-17 and IL-18 in patients with rosacea may be used as one of the serological indicators for the diagnosis of rosacea, and have a positive correlation with the severity of rosacea, which is helpful to evaluate the severity of rosacea, but can not be used to guide the classification of rosacea. It has a certain value in the development of new targeted methods for the treatment of rosacea.
