Objective The aim of this study was to observe the clinical efficacy of Shenhesini Decoction, which was formulated based on the theory of "Spleen-Gastric Pivot",in the treatment of upper abdominal pain syndrome with liver and stomach disharmony,in order to provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of this disease. Methods Seventy-two patients with epigastric pain syndrome of hepatogastric disharmony who met the inclusion criteria were selected, and the subjects were divided into 36 cases each in the clinical trial group and the control treatment group according to the randomized, controlled principle using the randomized table method, and the subjects in the clinical trial group were given Ginseng and Siwei Decoction Chinese medicine soup and rabeprazole enteric capsules, while the subjects in the control treatment group were given rabeprazole enteric capsules and Gastrodia granules, and the relief of symptoms was observed in both groups after 4 weeks of treatment. After 4 weeks of treatment, the patients in both groups were observed for symptom relief, including the duration and frequency of pain or burning sensation, the degree of anxiety and depression, and quality of life scores. After 8 weeks of discontinuation, the recurrence of the disease and safety indexes were observed, and the data were collected and analyzed statistically using SPSS26.0.To evaluate the advantages and safety of Shenhesini Decoction in the treatment of upper abdominal pain syndrome with liver and stomach disharmony.Results(1)The study finally completed 67 effective cases, including 34 cases in the clinical trial group and 33 cases in the control treatment group, and no significant abnormalities in safety indexes and no clinical adverse reactions were observed in the subjects of both groups before and after the study.(2)In this study,in terms of clinical efficacy, the total effective rate of the Chinese medicine treatment group was 88.2% better than that of the control treatment group of72.7%,and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.01).(3)With regard to the efficacy of TCM symptoms, the comparison of the efficacy of pain in the stomach and epigastric region, distention and fullness in the stomach and epigastric region, distention and fullness in the two ribs, pain or distention that flares up or worsens every time due to emotional discomfort, and distress in the heart showed a difference between the two groups(P< 0.05),and the observation group was better than the control treatment group(P< 0.05).For the comparison of the efficacy of good sighing and frequent belching, the observation group did not reflect a significant advantage(P> 0.05).(4)In terms of the total efficacy of TCM evidence, there was a significant difference between the two groups(P< 0.01),and the observation group was superior to the control treatment group(P< 0.05).(5)In the treatment of anxiety and depression, the Hamilton Anxiety and Depression Scale was filled in and counted, and the scores of both groups in the observation group and the control treatment group improved significantly after treatment(P<0.05);and the improvement of both symptoms of anxiety and depression was better in the observation group than in the control treatment group(P< 0.05).(6)In terms of improving quality of life, the Quality of Survival Scale for Functional Dyspepsia was completed and counted, and there was a significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P< 0.01);and the improvement in quality of life in the observation group was better than that in the control treatment group(P< 0.05).(7)In terms of recurrence, the recurrence rate was 17.6% in the observation group and45.5% in the control treatment group. There was a difference in the recurrence rate at the return visit between the two groups of subjects treated in groups(P< 0.05).In this study, the observation group was significantly better than the control treatment group in preventing and treating recurrence of epigastric pain syndrome(P< 0.05).Conclusion The combination of Shenhesini Decoction with rabeprazole enteric capsules is effective in treating hepatic and gastric disharmony type epigastric pain syndrome, which can significantly relieve patients’ pain degree, reduce pain frequency, improve TCM symptoms, improve patients’ quality of life, relieve patients’ depression and anxiety, and reduce the recurrence rate of this disease. On the basis of conventional Western medicine treatment, the participation of Chinese medicine in the treatment has the advantages of high efficacy, low recurrence rate and low side effects, which is worthy of clinical reference.
